Hot on the heels of Manitox's journey of boundless sonic exploration comes this new remarkable EP by the label's owner and spearheader. "Sex and Chaos" encompasses much of what German Brigante's sophisticated and maverick sound is about. An aesthetic quest driven - in a constant and tense equilibrium - both by compelling dance floor-oriented climax and a genuine underground-rooted emotive escapism. An awesome art of composition nurtured by a broad array of influences – ranging from pioneering or nowadays Techno and House, Indie Dance or Synthwave to Breakbeat and other electro soundscapes in the purest 80/90 style - colliding with high sensitivity and forceful refinement. 

First up comes "Sex". An uninhibited Brigantinian manifesto stamped by a lusty and yet almost clinically hypnotic drum pattern as well as propelled by soul-stirring spatial melodic synth lines and an uplifting robotic vocal motif that have a fierce retrofuturistic erotic appeal. 

Up next, on a stauncher kicking note, is « Chaos ». A Dantesque groovy tune which deftly combines a tension-building bassline with perfectly modulated layers of swirling and sparkling synthetized waveforms that make the track both suggestive and trippy-hitting in equal measure and will drive the audience to an insane and gorgeously deranged venture. 

Concluding and bonifying the journey on a luscious atmospheric note, "No More" evinces a downtempo broken beat percussive approach enlightened by enthralling vintage like melodic patterns and an evocative chorus which provide a rising magnetic effect with a strong emotional aura.

LA-based DJ and producer Durante collaborates with Canadian artist CRi for the next single from his upcoming album ‘Enter’ on Anjunadeep.

Hailing from a small Italian village outside of Florence, Durante (aka Kevin Durante) began his musical journey in 2006. Drawn to the sweet spots where house and techno genres intersect, Durante’s versatile sound has seen him release with Anjunadeep, Armada, W&O Street Records, and Amtrac’s imprint Openers. Esteemed artists including Bonobo, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Joris Voorn have praised Durante’s work, and he has collaborated with the likes of Diplo & Aluna on ‘Forget About Me’ and Amtrac on ‘Gather’, as well as remixing Cassian, Booka Shade, TWO LANES and more. 

Now, 18 years after his musical journey started, Durante finally shares his debut album ‘Enter’ on Anjunadeep. Inspired by the concept of portals and multiple dimensions, ‘Enter’ showcases his eclectic sound that has developed from Kevin’s diverse pool of musical influences, featuring Duke Ellington, classic Italo-disco, and early Cocoon records. 

“I’ve spent the past three years working on this album; it marks the beginning of many great endeavours in my life. It’s a coming-of-age story, but it’s also a reflection of the world around us. I’m happy to be able to share my emotions through music because the words escape me. Hopefully, you can find solace in the sound. Open your eyes, enter the portal to the sixth dimension.” - Durante 

Across 13 compelling tracks, Durante explores self-discovery, acceptance, and love themes. The album features collaborations with Montréal-based producer and live act CRi, American vocalist Nathan Nicholson, Australian singer-songwriter Running Touch, Californian songstress and producer HANA, and London-based vocalist SOHN. 

On ‘LMK’, Durante joins forces with Canadian producer and live act CRi. The duo seamlessly blend meticulously crafted synths with CRi’s warm vocals, creating an uplifting electronica feature on the album. Hailing from Montreal, CRi recently released his second album ‘Miracles’ on Anjunadeep, receiving support from Sian Eleri on BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM Chill. 

Durante will kick off his album tour in January in the USA, playing across cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Seattle, as well as at the Anjunadeep label showcase event at the esteemed London venue, the Roundhouse.

In the world of music, there are many important partnerships: light and dark, kick and snare, drums and bass. So in 2018 when Bailey Greer deemed it necessary to make the long overdue move from sunny Australia to murky England and team up with Josh Croft, all in the name of music, only positivity could occur. After a strong string of releases on labels like Silent Audio, Goldfat and collaborations with the likes of Logistics and Saikon on Hospital Records, the pair positioned themselves at the forefront of the ever emerging talent on Soulvent. 

Taking up the mantle from Pola & Bryson as Soulvent’s premier production pair, we are immensely proud to announce the debut album from In:Most, Voyager. The 16-track odyssey features appearances from scene stalwarts like Carasel and Lucy Kitchen, while flying high the flag of the next generation with fellow rising names like Walk:r and Mistrust. Embracing the concept of the journey was truly important to the pair on this record, wanting to push themselves outside of their comfort zone and challenge the listener as much as their own perception of their sound. 

While the heady dancefloor highs of tracks like ‘Stay’ or ‘Do You’ might be what you’d expect from the pair’s last two singles, blistering tracks like ‘Embers’ and ‘Fever Dreams’ both attest to the beauty of collaboration, as well as the growing maturity in the young duo’s output. 

Meanwhile the smooth tones of Ukranian born Anastasia’s vocals grace the glittering foundations of ‘Home’ whilst Lucy Kitchen’s familiar and comforting voice on ‘Glimmer’ provide the stellar female-led element of the record. For that unmistakable In:Most liquid sound, look no further than the likes of ‘Silver Lining’ with Walk:r, it’s beautiful guitar and piano lines linking up effortlessly - or the warming wah-wah washes of ‘Notions’ against it’s twinkling arps and soft pads. 

Both a fun and engaging change of pace, ‘Scuba’ ushers in some serious garage flavour, with a playful take on the genre with a boundless, bubbling bassline.

Could a debut album out of Cambridge be complete without featuring a member of Drum & Bass royalty like Hospital Records veteran, Logistics? ‘Fixated’ blends raspy percussion with swirling sub bass and uplifting top notes with a drifting, drawn out vocal sample that shows the boys really can run with the big dogs.

Coming back into port, with the peaceful outro that is ‘Harbour’, we are reminded once again that In:Most’s production capability is not contained by drum and bass or tempos above 170 and their journey to get to this point has been long, varied and truly unforgettable.

12 months in the making, and undeniably worth every second of the wait - we welcome you to grab a 1st class ticket, sit back and relax, and enjoy the ride. ‘Voyager’ is out in all good stores on the 3rd of April.
