The Ocean is one of the most personal songs I’ve written. It’s about my upbringing by the water, leaving home behind, and chasing the dream of becoming a movie star in Hollywood.

The lyrics reflect that pull between where I came from and where I’m going. The comfort of the ocean versus the coldness of chasing something bigger. It’s nostalgic, bittersweet, and hopeful all at once.

Musically, it’s an emotional ballad with post-punk and wave influences, carried by raw male vocals. It’s me looking back at where I started, while still moving forward.
