Katharine's sessions are the go-to choice for friends worldwide who crave deep, warm minimal sounds after a night of clubbing. Since 1999, she has been a key influencer on dance floors in Australia, known for her unique sideways West Coast house music. For eight years, she and Ben Abrahams hosted massive Saturday nights at Elsewhere on the Gold Coast. Together with Jules David, they run the label and party series Motion:Theory Music.
Recently, Katharine launched Selekt Sessions with Rupert Wall from Brooklyn, showcasing minimal artists they consider pioneers in the scene. Over the past decade, Katharine has been mixing for Romanian minimal collectives, earning a dedicated following among micro-sound enthusiasts. Last year alone, she released over 20 mixes for minimal labels, including experimental and heartfelt ambient journeys on Satya Records, Miromu, and the 333Flow series, many of which were all-vinyl sets.
Katharine's recent performances include a three-hour vinyl set for the Breakfast Club, a mix for Skylab Radio at the Music Room, and a new monthly residency at FiftyFive Bar, where she plays five-hour vinyl sets. You can also catch her at Killing Time, where she's been part of the scene for a decade, either opening, closing, or supporting artists like Silat Beksi. It's all about vibration and appreciation: it's lush minimal sounds for the dance floor.

BOOM, was für ein Auftakt in ein zweites Jahr MIKROMAL. KIRA aus Moldawien mit aktueller Wahlheimat London katapultiert uns die reinste Bassmaschine in den Orbit. 
Ein lebendiges Soundkonstrukt aus unterschiedlichsten Minimalstilen, allen voran das rollende und satte Rominimalkommando, dass von Anfang bis Ende hervorragend kombiniert ist. Es wird keine Chance verpasst die wabernden, drückenden Bässe und zerfließenden Harmonien mit einer gesalzenen Clap zu ergänzen, was die ganzen anderthalb Stunden eine durchgehende Spannung erstellt.

A.G. Anastasia, bekannt als KIRA MD, stammt aus Rîșcani, Moldawien. Ihre Reise in die Welt der elektronischen Musik begann bei einem Underground-Event namens BlackRoomRave, das ihre Leidenschaft entfachte. Nach einem Jahr harter Arbeit zog sie zu KU:RA:BU, wo sie das Publikum mit ihrem minimalistischen, kosmisch inspirierten Sound begeisterte. Zwei Jahre später startete sie ihr eigenes Event, UnderGroove Sound, das schnell an Popularität gewann. Heute lebt KIRA in London und ist Resident bei Release LDN, Studio 338 und Home LND. Sie spielte bereits mit Künstlern wie Barac, Kearun und Cezar.

BOOM, what a kickoff to the second year of MIKROMAL!
KIRA from Moldova, now based in London, launches us into orbit with the purest bass machine. A vibrant sound construct blending diverse minimal styles, led by rolling and rich Romanian minimal beats, seamlessly combined from start to finish. Not a single opportunity is missed to enhance the pulsating, driving basslines and flowing harmonies with a sharp clap, creating an uninterrupted tension throughout the entire one and a half hours.

Wir starten das Jahr mit Frühjahrsgrüßen aus Nanjing, China. 77Mushrooms nimmt uns mit auf einen akustischen Trip. Minimalistische Störgeräusche und ein paar Click-Clacks vermischen sich mit funky Beats und einem anhaltenden Groove. Selber als Produzent tätig, merkt man, dass hier ein echter Musikliebhaber am Werk ist -  perfekt abgemischt und einer Trackauswahl, die dem Set einen roten Faden verleiht. vielen Dank für diesen Neujahrsauftakt vom anderen Ende der (MIKROMAL.-)Welt.

We start 2025 with new years greetings from Nanjing, China. 77Mushrooms takes us on an acoustic trip. Minimalist noise elements and some click-clacks blend with funky beats and a steady groove. As a producer himself, you can tell there's a true music lover at work - perfectly mixed with a track selection that gives the set a cohesive narrative.
