Today marks an important day in the hit of my family
Gabriel Ebalu, my one and only grandfather and father of my mother, Princess Jane 
Was born on this day over 60 years ago and his influence in this world brought my kin to light, carrying and conquering the family name, Gabriel was a great example to all of us. 
He was a son, a father, a grandfather, a career driven man but also family orientated. His energy runs trough my veins as for the rest of my family.
His grace and endurance led to great achievements in his time among us. He was a fighter and a lover. 
He always put his children first and made sure that they all had food on their plate. To this day his legacy lives and so will it forever ♾ 
The quietness he left us lasts forever,
Remembering him brings back emotions like no other.

It’s always hard to say goodbye to your loved ones and inevitably all of us will, at some stage leave this earth and reach fullness.

In the year 2009, it was His turn.
Our family still suffering from the loss, rejoice at the fact that Gabriel is still between us in spirit and to commemorate such a bright, independent and strong soul;

A piece of art available on every platform where we speak our minds on today’s reality, where your skin colour can be used as a weapon against you, where ignorance reigns and where the power given to authority, makes us vulnerable from what is supposed to be ‘our safety’
And it’s used instead to spread terror and hate. 

Our message is to open peoples eyes that these tragedies should stop now and the future that great men like Gabriel have created for the next generation not to be taken for granted and punished because of individuals that don’t like a particular shade of someone’s skin.

Racism is a pandemic

A statement
by Sandra L. Shullman, PhD, president of the American Psychological Association, regarding the mental health consequences of recent high-profile violent events targeting Africans:
“George Floyd, dead after a police officer knelt on his neck. Ahmaud Arbery, fatally shot while on a jog. Breonna Taylor, shot to death by police raiding her home. Eric Garner, Philando Castile, Trayvon Martin — 
George Nkencho, who died following a disturbance outside his home in Clonee, West Dublin, last month, was shot twice in the back by armed gardai, an independent pathology report is said to have found. ... Nkencho was shot dead outside his home at about 12.35pm on December 30 2020

“The deaths of innocent black people targeted specifically because of their race — often by police officers — are both deeply shocking and shockingly routine.
“We are living in a racism pandemic, which is taking a heavy psychological toll on our African citizens. 
The health consequences are dire. Racism is associated with a host of psychological consequences, including depression, anxiety and other serious, sometimes debilitating conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorders. Moreover, the stress caused by racism can contribute to the development of cardiovascular and other physical diseases.

Growing up as a mixed-race child with my black mother in foreign lands, I've experienced a myriad of situations that have shaped my perspective. Tracks like "Roots," ”When I Grow Up,” "Words Cut Deeper," "I Don't Even Know Anymore," and "If It Wasn't for You" paint everyday scenarios faced by kids like me. Through my music, I aim to create an atmosphere where listeners can immerse themselves, either zoning in or out, as they navigate through the thoughtful rap patterns and soulful melodies. It's a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, told through the lens of a multicultural upbringing.
