The story behind Xander started off in 2015, when two teenagers with a dream wanted to try out something new. 

Forming a duo together with my cousin was the initial plan, Xander & Roman was born, but the project eventually fell through as there were barely any listeners. It isn't easy to succeed as a DJ in today's digitalized world, where basically anyone could put two songs together and make it sound good, but i was aware of that and it never brought me down. After a long break, and my cousin's departure from the music industry, i decided to start again and try to improve, rather than re-doing everything i learned through the previous years, therefore, the solo project was revived in May of 2020.

Now, under my own name, i'm releasing one hour long mixes every two weeks through my recently rebranded show titled "Melodics 101", featuring some of the best Organic, Afro or Melodic House tracks out there, so that you too can join me on my musical journey. 

Music was always there for me, through highs and lows, so i wanted it to be the same for everyone else, because music will forever be the best treatment to whatever you're going through.

Based in Romania, Alex Slav aka Professor, has taken centre stage in the DJing world and certainly raised the bar within the music industry as a whole. Duboko Deep is passionate collector & DJ coming out of Zagreb (Croatia). His love to music started in early age. His mother and father collector’s of chanson francaise,jazz music,canzoni italiane,Sinatra,Dean Martin, soundtrack’s etc. His passion for music begins with vinyl records of disco, italo, hi-energy, Canadian disco, synth-infused, 80s music, soul …He got involved in the electronic music & house in late 80s, shortly after club music took over him. From the very beginnings Deep house was sound to which he remained most faithful, simply because it was love at the first listen! And so it continues… His musical selection is best described as pure, deep, melodic vibes which takes you “Duboko” (“Deep” in Croatian)! Trough his sets you can feel eclectic beautiful synth works, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, oriental sounds, and occasional vocal hooks. His music styles are open minded. He practises emotional tunes, and it does not matter whether are new or old. It is important that they raise his emotional moment which can reach out to listeners through his selections. And so it has for years, through various clubs, lounge bars, on different kinds of events like museums, beaches giving out smiles and satisfaction to his listeners. His passion for music is to explore and mix so Deep musical languages. Peace...Love...Music!!!
