J'ai bien aimé ma session précédente, du coup on branche et on fait un peu la même chose avec l'arpégiateur.
Dommage, j'avais trouvé un truc sympa avec la synthèse FM en fin de session, peut être pour une prochaine fois.

I liked my previous session, so let's do it again, with almost the same arpeggio gimmick.

Sur cette session je me suis "risqué" à un peu plus jouer avec le Keystep et le Juno, mais ça tâtonne. 
Des longueurs dans le morceau, mais suis content de l'impro au dernier break.

Alors ok, tout ce que je fais depuis 2020 c'est de l'impro et ça mériterai des édits, équalisation, mixage...
Mais pour le coup, j'avais récupéré une Drumbrute Impact durant ma pause déjeuner et je voulais juste voir comment ça sonnait.
Au final, je me suis pris au jeu. 
J'ai fait une petite boucle avec le Bass, une nappe au Juno et c'est surtout l'arpeggio du FM qui m'a fait dégainer mon H1.
Après coup, j'aurais bien aimé un vocal "à la Stardust"... si vous voyez ce que je veux dire.

So ok, all I've been doing since 2020 is improvisation and it deserves edits, equalization, mixing...
But for once, I had picked up a Drumbrute Impact at noon and I just wanted to see how it sounded.
And in the end, I got into the game.
I did a little loop with the Bass, a string with the Juno and it was above all the FM arpeggio that made me pull out my H1.
Afterwards, it would have been nice to have an extra "Stardust" vocal.

Improvisation

2ème session avec la Drumbrute, bien décidé à faire une partie rythmique qui tabasse, même si je découvre la BAR.
J'ai trouvé rapidement ce que je voulais faire, mais j'ai dû enregistrer en 'unquantize' et je peux vous dire que ça a tourné looooooongtemps dans mes oreilles.
Au point où je me suis obligé à enregistrer pour ne pas laisser ce rythme sur la touche.

2nd session with the Drumbrute, determined to do a rhythmic part that beats up, even if I discover this box.
I quickly found what I wanted to do, but I had to record in 'unquantize' and I can tell you that it spent looooooong time in my ears.
To the point where I forced myself to record so as not to leave this rhythm on the sidelines.

Obligation

Avec les Volca, on voit souvent des vidéos très ambiantes et je me suis dit que je calmerai bien l'affaire avant de repartir.
Et ça me permettrait peut être de créer une sonnerie pour mon réveil :)
A la base j'étais partie pour un morceau de ~1min30...lol, no comment

Interlude

Petite pause de quelques mois, car je devais tout (re)câbler, et devoir le faire avant de m'y remettre, m'avait démotivé.
Bref, après avoir (re)tout câblé, je me lance à faire mumuse avec les machines. 
Comme d'habitude l'idée de départ est balayée par la découverte d'un preset, ici un vocoder sur le Microfreak. 
Et je me mets à rêver d'être l'un des Kraftwerk. J'arrive à mijoter une séquence toute douce au Juno et le nappage du FM qui va avec.
Je finis la création avec une grosse marrade sur l'auto-brainstorming de 30min pour trouver des mots.
Et voilà !

A short break of a few months, because I had to (re)wire everything, and having to do it before starting to play, had demotivated me.
In short, after having (re)wired everything, I start having fun with the machines. 
As usual, the initial idea is swept away by the discovery of a preset, here a vocoder on the Microfreak. 
And I start dreaming of being one of the Kraftwerks. I manage to do a very soft sequence with the Juno and the FM layer that goes with it.
I finished the creation with a good laugh on the 30min self-brainstorming to find words.
And voilà !

Transition

À l'arrivée du JD08, j'ai juste pu écouter quelques sons.
Effectivement, c'est sympa, ça m'a rappelé les 90s, par contre l'interface homme-machine 😱
Bref, un peu sur ma faim avec tous ces réglages, je voulais faire une session, même si pas beaucoup de temps.
J'ai trouvé un bon preset clavier House... Go pour l'enregistrement !!!
Ah et pardon pour l'aftertouch, je voulais tester et j'ai un peu trop appuyer sur le clavier 😅

When the JD08 arrived, I was only able to listen to a few presets.
Indeed, it's nice, it reminded me of the 90s, on the other hand the human-machine interface is 😱
In short, this synth has (too) many options and even though I didn't have much time, I wanted to do a session.
So, I found a classic piano House preset and... Go for the recording!!!
Ah and sorry for the aftertouch, I wanted to test it and I pressed the keyboard a little too much 😅

Depuis le début, tous mes morceaux sont taggés #Techno, même s'ils n'y correspondent pas forcément.
C'est surtout avec cet état d'esprit que j'essaie de "composer" et j'espère m'en approcher cette fois-ci, vous m'direz.
Ensuite, j'aurais voulu faire plus court, mais utiliser l'interface du JD-08 pour contrôler les 2 synthés (A et B) c'était sportif. 
Par contre, l'arrivée du keystep pro m'a bien aidé pour la création, c'était plus fluide.

Since the beginning, all my tracks have been tagged #Techno, even if they don't necessarily correspond to it.

Then, I would have liked to make it shorter, but using the JD-08 interface to control the 2 synths (A and B) was challenging.
On the other hand, the arrival of the keystep pro helped me a lot for the creation, it was more fluid.

Donc j'avais avancé avec la partie rhytmique, l'arpégio était en random sur le FM, mais pas moyen d'avoir une bonne synchro avec le Juno. J'ai dû me plonger dans la notice et régler ça.
Puis, suprise et stupéfacttion, lors du "hit" sur le bouton play du beatstep pro, le pattern d'usine du Juno se met à jouer... curieusement, j'ai trouvé le mélange sympa, j'ai laissé tourné, ajouté le Bass et zou, le tout dans la boite.
Donc n'ayant pas fait tous les patterns, le nom était tout trouvé (Merci Roland).

So I had progressed with the rhythmic part, the arpegio was random on the FM, but there was no way to get a good sync with the Juno.
I had to delve into the manual and sort it out.
Then, amazed and surprised, during the "hit" on the play button of the beatstep pro, the factory pattern of the Juno starts to play... curiously, I found the mix nice, I left turned, added the Bass and shoo, all in the box.
So not having done all the patterns, the name was all found (Thanx  Roland).

Je n'avais pas le temps, mais je l'ai pris !
Au final après 2h de session, j'ai ENFIN testé l'enregistrement multipistes et essayé d'avoir un meilleur rendu.
J'ai l'impression que cette nouvelle façon de faire nivelle tous les gains vers le bas, mais je verrais pour une autre fois, mais quand ???
Aussi, avec un peu plus de temps, j'aurais sûrement relancé 1 ou 2 autres enregistrements, histoire de régler la cacophonie ambiante de fin de morceau, mais comme d'hab... non :)
Sinon je n'ai pas utilisé de disquettes ou d'imprimante à rubans pour ce morceau, comprenne qui pourra 😆

I had no time, but I took it!
In the end, after a 2 hour session, I FINALLY tested the multitrack recording and tried to get a better result.
I feel like this new way of doing things is leveling all the gains down, but I'll see for another time, but when???
Also, with a little more time, I would surely have relaunched 1 or 2 other recordings, just to sort out the cacophony at the end of the song, but as usual, no :)
Otherwise, I didn't use floppy disks or a ribbon printer for this piece, understand who can 😉

Une session qui a failli ne pas voir le jour, avec certaines machines qui n'avaient plus envie de bosser xD
Sinon un morceau plus "sage", avec lequel j'ai surtout avancé sur la vidéo. Mais il me manque encore les transitions automatiques, ce qui me permettrait de me concentrer sur la musique plutôt que de changer des scènes.
Au casting : Keystep Pro à la baguette, Drumbrute Impact aux boums tchaks, JD-08 aux leads et aux pads, Volca FM à la basse, J-6 passait par là et fdude au chant (aidé par le vocoder du Microfreak).

A session that almost didn't see the light, with some machines no longer wanting to work xD
Otherwise a "wiser" track, with which I mainly advanced on the video. But I still miss the automatic transitions, which would allow me to focus on the music rather than changing scenes.
Cast: Keystep Pro as conductor, Drumbrute on drums, JD-08 on leads and pads, Volca FM on bass, J-6 was passing by and fdude on vocals (aided by the Microfreak's vocoder).
