It was from a songwriting workshop that prompted me to actually put a vocal together.  It's a departure from my comfort zone, but stumbling upon something, trying to engage, really makes me think about who and what my art serves.  Not sure if anyone has ever felt that "kishin" spirit, but in a faltering world, I feel there's more sincerity in this than trying to "be artistic", numb, or bland, or cliche'd.  Musicians I know, if you're feeling this, maybe you're a part of this?  What's holding you back from writing what you really think?

I had an idea to set up a condenser in the adjacent room (my bedroom) to my drum room to see how it would work as a room mic.  Here's the result.  (Sorry for the rattles and stuff).

I worked on my acoustic treatment a bit and practiced some mixing. Used a room mic in the drum room, and I also used one in the bathroom across the hall to get some reverb effect.
