For those that are interested, I played a single track on piano (not a multi-track).  I then used the full midi file for the piano, 'lowest note priority' for the bass (Trilian Bass) and a constrained range for the guitar (Trilian martin guitar).  All instruments played off of the same midi track simultaneously.

This is more of a real world comparison of Ivory and Galaxy.  I used the same midi file for both renderings.  I played the midi file on a Yamaha CP300 using the Yamaha's internal sound while playing.  I then fitted the midi file to the velocity curve of each piano.  On both, I use as little "in program" processing as possible.  I bounce to 24 bit audio track, and then I use that audio track like any other recorded piano.  I manipulate it to enhance the sound as best I can.  I use a number plug in's such as EQ, compression, Reverb to get a particular sound.  In this example, I tried to get the Vintage D to sound similar to a Bill Evans solo piano recording.  For contrast, I gave the Ivory a more distant, classical sound.  I connect to both of these pianos and find each very useful in different situations.

This is a spontaneous improvisation done using the wonderful Ivory Vintage Upright and trilogy bass setting in Trilian.  For a vintage, cinematic or period sound, I find this to be an incredibly expressive instrument.  The free download is a 256K AAC (mp4) - much higher quality than the streaming version.

This is a fairly simple, straightforward improvisation in the key of C major.  I previously uploaded this recording but there were problems with the file, so I am re-uploading it.
This recording streams at 128 kb/s but the download is a higher fidelity 256 kb/s mp4, and sounds cleaner.  I have a youtube video of this recording posted as well.  I hope you enjoy.

This is a rendering of the same midi file used in the other two "What Kind Of Fool Am I" uploads.  The new Steinway American D is a wonderful instrument that really sings.  Compared to the Ivory German D, it has more wood and sustain to the sound.  It also has more age to the sound.  The three renderings of this tune all peak the same.  The differences in dynamics and average loudness has to do with the recording of the samples themselves.  I have used some light outboard compression and reverb on this recording, but no EQ.
