ONTHEDAL & LANJOON [SINK]
 
몇 해 전 겨울,
낯선 타국에서 일출을 기다릴 때였다. 
 
기다리는 해는 뜨지 않는데 
하늘은 생전 처음 보는 색깔로 빛나고 있었다. 
아주 화려하진 않지만 그렇다고 단조롭지도 않은 오묘한 빛으로. 
 
찰나마다 변하는 색이 너무 예뻐서, 
기다리던 해가 끝내 뜨지 않아도 충분할 거 같다는 생각을 했다. 
 
이들의 음악을 들으며
아주 오랜만에 그 생경한 만족감을 다시 느꼈다. 
 
공허한 현실 위를 주저하지 않고 유영하겠다 말하고, 채워지지 않은 마음을 당당히 갈망한다. 
오히려 나의 남은 1퍼센트의 마음까지도 다 주겠노라 고백하고 있다. 
 
위태로운듯 하면서도 절대 부러질 리 없는 유연함이 느껴져서, 
어쩐지 기다리던 해피엔딩은 이미 중요하지 않은 것 같다. 
 
외로운 현실속에 끝없는 바람들을 이야기하는데도 
부족함 보다는 가득찬 마음이 보여서, 
달뜬 가사 너머로 무게가 느껴진다. 
 
이 앨범을 들으며,
그 날 새벽하늘이 그려준 무성영화에 가만히 소리를 입혀본다. 
 
끝내 해가 떠오르지 않더라도, 형형의 색을 만들어 스스로 빛나고있을 이 청춘들의 뒷모습이 보인다.
