Producing and DJ'ing to great acclaim for well over 20 years, Equinox has had releases on Brain Records, Paradox Music, Subtle Audio as well as his own hugely successful Scientific Wax and Scientific Wax Retro imprints.   

The Scientific Wax head honcho provides two tracks to this very special, limited edition 12" - tracks that have been played out on dubplate by the man himself for a number of years, and hugely deserving of a long overdue release on wax.

'Let's Go Back' sees Equinox tread familiar territory with rolling amen edits, stunning atmospherics and lush vocals, a combination that few can compete with him on, to create an epic and beautiful aural journey from one of the masters of the breakbeat science.

On the flip, 'Rollin' Out' does exactly what it says on the tin - it rolls!  Another atmospheric stunner, with it's laid-back breaks, haunting pads and graceful piano refrains.

Dutch master FFF (Criterion, Myor, Diamond Life, Planet Mu, PRSPCT RVLT amongst many others) returns to 7th Storey Projects with his first fully solo EP on the label following on from the success of the 2017 Double Dragon EP (in conjunction with Coco Bryce).

The EP opens up with the gloriously uplifting 'Never Give Up (The Vibes)', with it's pitched up vocals, huge oscillating riffs and frenetic drumwork - Tommy shows once again he can flip his hand to any style.

For the first time on our label we offer up a full length solo-album in CD format, and 4-track LP sampler on vinyl featuring 10 and 4 tracks respectively - a journey through the spectrum of atmospheric and deep drum n bass and jungle, these releases have been over a year in the making, and we hope you love them as much as we do.

Fushara aka Thushara Goonewardene is a London based electronic musician working with breakbeats, samples and synthesiser. A constant theme for his music is urban decay. From the late 90's Fushara has been involved with the London scene as a raver, DJ, and Producer. He has produced experimental work for labels such as Pineconemoonshine, MJAZZ, Criterion Records and Scientific Recordings. In 2015 he set up an imprint Lone Foundation to showcase experimental bass music collaborating with DAAT and others.

Welcome to 7th Storey Recollective, our new sister label dedicated exclusively to previously unreleased and re-issued classics from the 1990's!

Kicking us off with our first offering are two incredible tracks from the man like Model (Intelligent Minds, Abstrakt Mindz, Liquid & Model & HLS).  

Both produced in 1995, and previously unreleased, these tracks are true unearthed gems of the atmospheric jungle genre.

On the 'A' side is 'Jupiter', an epic, ethereal track - featuring beautifully blissed out atmospherics and razor-sharp drum work, sit back and prepare to be taken on a journey though the clouds...

Turning to the 'B' side we find 'Surroundingz', clocking in at over 9 minutes this has a slightly darker vibe - with haunting pads woven into it's fabric of complex breaks.

Pressed on 12" black vinyl, and complete with full colour sleeve designed by Model himself.

The three tracks featured are the best of old and new - the A side features the legendary and sought-after original mix of DJ Excel's 'Just When You Thought It Was Safe', officially licenced for this limited edition release from the artist himself, taken from the original DAT and carefully and lovingly re-mastered especially for this release.

The AA side contains two new remixes of the aforementioned classic - the Basement Records inspired HWND (DJ Fav) remix, and the all out hardcore jungle assault of DJ Stoopid's remix, both of which we hope you will find complement the classic original, with a bit more of a 1993/4 feel.

All tracks will be mastered and pressed at Record Industry (Netherlands), one of Europes premier mastering and pressing plants - so top quality is absolutely guaranteed - the tracks will be presented on the highest grade available, black 140 gram vinyl, with full colour labels (as above).

We're delighted to be able to welcome Scientific Wax head-honcho Equinox to 7th Storey Recollective, bringing with him three previously unreleased cuts from his 90's archives.

As one of the most respected DJ's and producers in Jungle & Drum n Bass, Equinox needs little introduction to those in the know, with a slew of releases spanning well over 25 years on Brain Records, Paradox Music, Inperspective Records, Bassbin, 8205 Recordings and his own Scientific Wax and off-shoot imprints to name just a few. 

Here, we travel back to 1996 to bring you three tracks made when Eqiunox was still only the tender age of 19, working tirelessly to hone the skills and sounds that we all know him for in 2020.

The opening track, 'Dark Territory' is a lo-fi 8-bit trip featuring many of the elements he would become beloved for, simply put; wildly chopped amens, dark brooding pads, and deadly sub-bass.

Flip to the B side, and first up you'll find 'Temperal Nexus', a glitched-out roller with customary manic drum edits, incredible atmospherics by turns industrial, dark and dreamlike.

Rounding off the EP is 'Trojan' - arguably a more polished production, but by no means less fierce! 

A huge thanks to Equinox for agreeing to provide the tracks for this release, and for all the hard work in getting them together :-)

7th Storey Projects was founded in 2009 by Simon Hesford as a passion project with a focus on unearthing and re-releasing classic old skool hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass music from the 90s. Inspired by the iconic labels Ninety Two Retro and Sublogic Recordings amongst others, the label initially aimed to help maintain interest in these iconic sounds and prevent them from fading into obscurity. However, over time, 7th Storey Projects evolved as much into a platform for modern-day productions that capture the essence of these older styles, driven by the wealth of new musical talent that needed a space to showcase their work.

In 2011, the label expanded by launching an online store, which not only sold its own releases but also featured music from other independent labels. This move helped increase the label’s visibility and contributed to its involvement in the wider underground music community.

A significant moment in the label’s history came with the launch of the Globex Corp series in 2016, which showcased the incredible talents of Tim Reaper and Dwarde, among others.

The series quickly became a success, running for ten volumes and further establishing 7th Storey Projects as a respected name for modern takes on the classic sounds of hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass.

Over the years, 7th Storey Projects has collaborated with an impressive roster of influential artists, including Tim Reaper, Coco Bryce, Equinox, The Invisible Man, FFF, Peter Darker (Kid Lib), Sonar’s Ghost, and many more, releasing music that spans from authentic nostalgic throwbacks to fresh, modern interpretations of old skool sounds.

After taking a hiatus from 2021 to 2025, 7th Storey Projects is now returning with renewed energy, continuing its commitment to supporting artists who bridge the gap between the past and present in the world of hardcore, jungle, and drum and bass.
