Sneaking Past The Guards

Starting the second week with a bit more of a romantic era piece.

My dance prompt today was the sixth port de bras! This port de bras includes some interesting twisting and bending motions. There are also bigger movements from the rest of the body than with other port de bras.

My composer quest prompt today was "The Forgot Beats". The goal of this challenge is to create a piece where the melody begins on beats 2 or 3 of a measure.

I failed yesterday :( and almost do it again but, I tried and maybe I invented a new rule: busy days I compose with Studio One patters electronic music. Two things I don't do a lot...

No time to make anything substantial today. Here is a tune I came up with in May that I have only just thought of a melody for. It is supposed to conjure images of lush green forests on bright summer days next to babbling brooks.

I had FFXII in mind when I thought of this as I was walking through a wood near where I live.
