I wanted to see if I could make the track that played during one of the events when Tifa is trying to peice Clouds mind back together. Once again made by ear and a little by memory. I  used the best free guitar plugin I had so it sounded good-ish.

Way back in 2008 I made this track because I love a game on the Sega Mega-drive called Lemmings and wanted to try and see if I could make a better tune out of it. The level it's modeled on is "tailor made for blockers."

At one point during 2009, I decided to tackle Yuffies' theme from the videogame Final Fantasy 7. I was really bad at re-creating certain tunes (I still am!) so I didn't think I could do it but I somehow managed to get it right.

I was really into a guy called Instant Remedy at the time (I still am!) and his re-creation of a C64 tune from a video game called Lazy Jones was my inspiration for making the track this way.

I had a go at trying the Tetris theme (A). It's pretty minimal but it's all there.

My take on the track known as 'Laughter' from the Phantasy Star 4 (IV) soundtrack. Not entirely different from the original, I just wanted to challenge myself to make it with better sounding synths.

I didn't change the melody in any way, I just wanted to challenge myself for July 2016 and try to attempt this song before August came around. I searched for the best plugins I could find and it quickly developed into what you hear now. It's a little rusty and parts may be wrong/missing but I think I gave it a good whirl.

A big thanks to Matthias Westlund for creating the Sonatina Orchestra samples you can hear in this song and also to Joe Stevens for creating plugins out of the samples! 

And lastly to Nobuo Uematsu for creating the original and for being a huge inspiration to my music making.
