As we believe good vibes go hand in hand with the good sound we made our vision real and loud: our very first release as BS Radio label is coming very soon. BS Radio Volume 01, a superb 11-tracks album compiled by the exquisite Eternal Love duo.

BS Radio, the music soul of Burro Studio, is music, events and people. So let’s get the party started.

So, the easiest way was to ask friends to contribute to their music. We can definitely say we were lucky to be surrounded by such talented people ! Big thanks to all the artists involved for creating this emotional musical journey: the perfect soundtrack from the first warm lights of the sunrise to the lunar reflections of a summer night by the sea”.

The compilation “Belarus Outside Sound System” is a collection of 13 contemporary electronic music stories from Belarus, spanning various genres such as house, ambient, drum'n'bass, disco, trap, somatic techno, future-bass, and EDM.

Within the release, you can experience the voice of the Minsk metro, the sounds of the unique Yelnya swamp, the incredible "Lullaby", as well as samples from folk songs and ethnic instruments, voices of famous Belarusians of the past and the present .

Each track represents a personal story of the musicians exploring their national identity. The compositions unveil the Belarusian cultural code through sounds, songs, motifs, instruments, and moods.

This release also serves as a creative expression against the repression in Belarus. Due to the threat of persecution, most authors have released their tracks under fictitious pseudonyms created specifically for the project.

Listen to the “Belarus Outside Sound System” compilation, and support Belarusian political prisoners and their families. All proceeds from the distribution of the compilation are directed to the BYSOL Solidarity Fund.

The compilation is published by the Belarus Outside Sound System, a charitable music movement that actively engages in various cultural projects, promotes contemporary Belarusian indie music, and addresses the socio-political agenda of Belarus.

Dystopia

In a world where everything seems to be over in an instant, this is Miles Away’s attempt at putting something out there that endures, something that cements the stories of thirteen wonderful pieces of soulful music ( plus a digi bonus) which they believe need to be heard again. Compiled by label founder Dom Ore, ‘Miles Away: One’ is a collection of tracks that spans continents, eras, and genres. Rooted in soul, it features recordings from legendary musical figures alongside lesser-known artists all beautifully bought together in one cohesive long player. 
 
Setting the tone is Idris Muhammad’s spiritual-jazz recording of ‘ I’m A Believer’ before moving into the modern soul and disco selections Miles Away have built their reputation around. The crossover-soul rarity ‘Yes It’s You’ by Eugene Smiley, the remarkable foot-to-the-floor soulful dance cut ‘She’s So Good’ by Solid Gold Revue, enduring soul funk explosion ‘No Communication’ by True Transfusion, the gospel-infused ‘Fantasy Ride’ by Uneda Dennard and the full-length extended version of ‘Superstar’ by Ruth Waters, many of these tracks appearing for the first time since their original release.
 
On the second disc we begin to weave a slightly different direction compared to the output from Miles Away thus far. Here you’ll find soundtrack and library music cuts from the likes of Czech artist Milan Kymlicka, renowned Argentinian composer Oscar Lopez Ruiz and noted Italian song-writer Paolo Zavallone alias Bimbo E I Milionari (edited by Ric Piccolo). Oddities and curiosities come in the form of ‘Be My Friend’ by Laine August - an 80s electro-pop gem courtesy of Freeez keysman Andy Stennett & Holly Tomas. There’s the stripped back street-soul-sounding ‘Deeper by Colour’ and the breezy Latin American sounds of Paulina Virgo’s ‘Vale Valor’. Finishing up is the timeless cover of the Stretch track ‘Why Did You Do It’ by Lady Africa Margaret Singana.
 
Painstakingly researched and officially licensed from artists, producers and labels that originally put out this wonderful music. In-depth liner notes depict their histories and stories - something which has been at the very heart of Miles Away from day one. This music deserves to live on long in the memory.

After the success of the labels first two releases, Of Paradise welcome Baltra into the inner circle for number three; a 2XLP reissue of his No Regrets album. Originally released in February 2016 as a limited edition cassette
on the artists own 96 And Forever label, this is the first time any of these tracks have been made available on vinyl. No Regrets captures the deep, raw emotion of the big city, taking the preconceived ideas of underground electronic music and lovingly twisting them into something new.
