Its a short bass and cymbal loop from my Yamaha Pss 570 through my Casio SK-1 and then a digitech rp 80 cheap guitar pedal. I did adjust the equalizer a little and added light effect mainly to help boost the volumes as they tend to record quite low.

One Synth Challenge 11 - 25 - 18

This is a project I was working on that basically was supposed to be a continuation of the Doug the immortal "story".  Conceptually it is set after the Supernova which was the final song in the previous EP. With the star he and the other immortals were trapped around destroyed Doug is condemned to float aimlessly in space for eternity. Until he receives an incoming transmission. 

Honestly there's no vocals so there really is no story technically related to the tracks themselves beyond the first titled song.

The idea I was working on is that in the original Doug the Immortal Song I had used my Casio Sk1 sampler for almost all the sounds (sampling in drums from my pss-570) so I wanted to use samples again. I sampled my PSS-570 individual drums this time instead of a loop. Admittedly the samples could have been better recorded but I find something charming about them. I used Short Circuit Sampler which is a free VST that is pretty powerful considering its price. 

 I ended up buying a used Circuit and getting a version of Ableton LIght included shortly after starting. Due to that this is my last upload most likely of anything made in Cakewalk as I have been learning Ableton slowly. Sorry for no names, given the switch and subsequent improved sampling abilities Ableton has plus overall workflow around samples I have lost interest in this specific project and am uploading it purely because I've still kept it the whole time.

I do little drawings while bored at work and decided to make a series after a summer sausage doing summer things. The EP a concept pretty much in name only. I think I learned a lot in the process of making it, though there is still clearly much more to learn.
