‘Lust (Let Me Feel)’ is the new electro-pop gem from Secret Spade. It follows on from their single ‘Skyline’ which garnered 4.5 star reviews from triple j and Acid Stag support. Sydney musician and DJ, Marshes provides the emotion-rich and sensual vocals on the track.
 
Lust (Let Me Feel)’ fuses their love of lo-fi house and nostalgic synths, drawing inspiration from their many years of Dj’ing at some of Sydney’s most coveted night spots.
 
Secret Spade (aka Marcus Ng and Johann 'Yogi' Willenberg) commenting on their single today says, “The title says it all, this song is about LUST! Forget Mr/Mrs “Right”, this is about Mr/Mrs “RIGHT NOW”. Your desire for them is real, your obsession is real and you will take them as they come. You cannot and will not hide from this infatuation, you will not run from this LUST!”
 
Merging electronic influences with pop, Secret Spade started as an outlet for the Sydney duo to explore song-based music. Marcus and Yogi says “we wanted to create headphone-focused songs that would stand the test of time and create music that grooves and has all the feels..."
 
There are many edges to each of them that make both Yogi and Marcus their own distinct producers, engineers, songwriters and DJ’s, but they share the common goal of creating captivating beats. Taking cues from disco pioneers such as MFSB and DFA, Sweden’s Drop Out Orchestra rose to prominence in 2008 with a seemingly endless arsenal of bootlegs, re-edits, and covers. Now teaming up with Mexican DJ sensation and Super Spicy Records boss Monsieur Van Pratt for their first collaboration, they have crafted a four-track EP of undeniably funky disco-house excursions, highlighting a shared passion for golden age disco, funk, and soul, showcasing their genuine appreciation of these influences.

88/89 are hybrid of synths, guitar riffs and sentimentalism. Hailing from London, Jack (born in '88) and Michael (born in '89), began carving out a space between synth-pop and psychedelic rock, creating a sonic landscape with no boundaries. The duo met when they both were trying to start again creatively - Jack, after leaving Sissy and the Blisters, and Michael, after leaving his acting career behind. Once Jack played some of his music to Michael in a car, they grew from there and quickly realized that they are like Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, yin and yang. While their unique sound is redolent of bands like MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Tame Impala, The Cure, and The Temper Trap, 88/89 also pull influence from artists such as Lou Reed, My Bloody Valentine, Simply Red, and Primal Scream.
