8 & Grey 

Based on the typical British weather, 8 & Grey are the evolution of The Bay.

Formed of three London based scallywags, The Bay launched in 2013 with an electric first gig at The Beatrice, Camden and hasn’t looked back since. 

After performing extensively throughout London, it was time to take stock and get back in the studio. A three track demo,  and name change later, we are ready to take the next step on our musical journey as 8 & Grey
Blending indie, post-punk and straight up rock and roll, 8 & Grey create gracefully and energetic songs about the mundane of everyday life, love and loss all delivered with a hint of humour, melodic choruses and intricate rhythms.

Having recently recorded their latest tracks at Egypt Lane Studios, 8 & Grey have graced the stages of Brixton Jamm, The Dublin Castle, Surya, and Charlie Wrights with a lot more shows in the pipeline too.

Brash, exciting and energetic the mash up of influences from members Jon Bancroft (Vocals – Guitar), Sam Hocking (Bass) and Duncan Jones (Drums) ranges from everything from the melodic indie of Half Moon Run through to the in your face punk sensibility’s of Rancid and everything in-between.

Born from a shared vision of creativity and a burning ambition, 8 & Grey’ live shows are a thing of beauty where the band excel and their personality shines through. An opportunity not to be missed.
