Back on his HIFI/LOFI home base, Franz Matthews continues his habit of turning up in
unexpected sonic spaces. Night Tales finds him delving into a more introspective, deep, and
melancholic palette, while preserving the organic warmth and groove-driven energy that define his
ever-evolving sound.

The EP’s opening tale, Again, takes us on a melancholic night ride through the ever-repeating ups
and downs of life, where darkness and light follow one another in an endless cycle - soundtracked
by an orchestra of lush synths, soft rhodes melodies, dreamy guitars, and Franz’s delicately
crafted vocals.

Howling at the Moon dives deeper into the night, driven by hypnotic percussion, dark synth
stabs, and haunting vocals that summon a sense of collective trance. The track builds toward a
wordless vocal chant that feels both human and otherworldly, unfolding into a swaying, almost
tango-esque groove where rhythms subtly intertwine.

Closing the EP, You & I stands apart — restored from a nine-year-old lost writing session, this
nostalgic yet hopeful electronic pop track felt right at home within the EP, where its warm house
textures and Lights Out’s delicate, heartfelt vocals wrap up these Night Tales with a timeless sense
of longing and connection.

Fresh from excursions on Gruuv and New Violence, Glaswegian Dalfie returns to Catz ‘N Dogz Pets with three more marching orders. Please stand to attention:
‘Outlaw’ sets the tone with a slinky synth bass groove, a shadow-creeping ambience and a neat sense of momentum that takes you unaware with subtle twists and diversions en route. An ideal opener or transition piece, ‘Outlaw’ whips up an atmosphere like no other.  ‘For It’ adds acidic petrol to the deep, dark fire. Slow-burning with a hip-slinking percussion-tinted groove, it gradually gets darker and darker as we creep further into Dalfie’s 303s. By the time we’re submersed in the breakdown our veins are nothing by circuits and frequencies run through them like blood.
For our final leg of the journey Dalfie leaves us in a brighter mindset with ‘Right Up’. Taking cues from both mid 90s Chicago and late 90s Paris, there’s an unquenchable funk woven deep into the filtered samples, pushing beats, carnivalian percussion and the lolloping bassline. Twisted in places, fluctuating in others, seriously vibrant throughout, this is a precision intersection of house, techno and disco all rolled into one seriously vibed-out party piece. With international momentum, Tale and Tone continues the charge of releases featuring unique genre-benders with story and groove. With two collaborations, the Synergy EP is the result of great minds and hearts coming together in the studio.
The first track needs little introduction. Formentera has been a staple tune Lee Burridge’s sets - and has become the most train-spotted tune in Tale and Tone’s history. Not surprising, as this one is truly unlike anything else - a true original born from a collaboration between established artists Edu Imbernon and Los Suruba. 
The percussive groove is joined by sweeping arps and melodies that can touch the soul. Formentera is a pinnacle of production that shifts and elevates dance music, giving us a glimpse of what music can be.

2019 was a massive musical year for Khen. He unleashed multiple projects that will be hammered on dance floors around the globe for the foreseeable future. His 'April Storms' track was featured on Hernan Cattaneo's Balance album, he remixed Marino Canal on Lost & Found and put out one of the best selling Beatort tracks of the summer with 'Where Is Home' alongside Guy Mantzur on Bedrock. 

Most recently, he debuted on Lee Burridge's new TRYBESof imprint and is now back for yet another debut on highly regarded French producer Sébastien Léger's 'Lost Miracle'.
