If you’ve at all sniffed around the Beatport charts at some stage in the last 12 months, then it’s highly likely that you’ll have been hugely impressed by a Berlin-based duo that go under the name ‘Mat.Joe’. With a string of releases and remixes in the last year on Snatch! Mother Recordings, Defected, Strictly Rhythm and of course Toolroom Trax, it’s an outright pleasure to have them return for their debut single release on the governing Toolroom Records this spring.

‘Nighthawk’ is an all-consuming tech house affair packed with deep grooves, guitar and synth licks and a dimly lit vocal performance, creating a delicately atmospheric personality within the track.
