Italian DJ and producer, Simone Liberali, is welcomed back to Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records imprint with his long overdue follow up to 2019's Ibiza anthem, 'Landslide' with the brand-new 'Inside You' EP. His music is renowned for its powerful, percussive and playful sound and his records have found homes on an impressive list of labels including Toolroom, Stereo, NONSTOP, elrow, Kaluki and AVOTRE as well as seeing him tour the world and play at infamous clubs across the globe including Egg London, elrow Barcelona and Pacha & Sankeys in Ibiza. Simone's signature sound shines through in the new 'Inside You' EP, expect percussive drums, mesmerizing atmospherics, captivating vocals, playful loop-driven grooves, hypnotic basslines and organic House drums. The Glitz are ready to start their journey towards the big “AXEN” album release in April, and they are starting it with a proper statement track. The first single “Dicktator” is a shot fired against the ambiguity of wealth, power and morality that seems to run through our societies. Western countries getting rich through selling weapons to war torn areas, then working against helping refugees who seek shelter. Politicians lying through their teeth in their hunt for more power. And it is just accepted. The irony of it all is poetically worded by the beautiful and fierce vocals of Fanny Winter, while Andreas and Daniel have created a monster of a song. A frenzy of groove, percussions and synths blend in the style of rough electronica. Like something you have never heard before, the track pushes forward, powerful and full of attitude. 

While the original is a masterpiece, the guys have also put their heads together to give us a version suited for the clubs. “Dicktator (Club Mix)” is as groovy as they come. Think beach house inspired but with a heavy hitting bassline, quirked synth elements and of course, the occasional vocal elements from the original. A bass heavy groove ride with smooth percussions perfectly suited for both those dark nights in the club as well as dusty afternoons on a festival dance floor. We are excited to see where this journey towards the new The Glitz album will take us. One thing is certain though, the first release hits the ground running and we know we are in for a treat!

Nick Curly - Just A Feeling

Nick Curly offers up the two-track 'Come Right Back' EP via his and Marc Scholl's Cécille Records at the end of March. Mannheim, Germany's Nick Curly has been at the forefront of the underground House scene for two decades now, initially making his mark with his and Gorge's 8bit imprint which is notably known for shaping the distinctive sound of Mannheim's House Music output. Curly has since gone on to release on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Truesoul, Defected, Cocoon and of course Cécille where he makes a welcome return here with this new material. Title cut 'Come Right Back' leads and sees Nick lay down his signature swinging drum groove intertwined with a filtered disco loop, bumpy bass line and choppy stab sequences to create a dance floor focused six and a half minute workout. 'Arkum' then shifts into deeper and darked realms, merging organic percussion and gritty bass stabs with tension building strings and spoken word vocals chops to once again create a loop driven, subtly unfurling peak time tool.
