Manchester’s Gareth Cole has built a solid reputation for dark and hypnotic house music over the last years, and his previous releases on Sublease have caused a stir across dancefloors for a couple of years. 

Returning to Steven Bug’s label for this No Sleep EP, Cole delivers 3 more reasons to get excited. 

The title track is a trippy burner, with  driving drums and delay-soaked stabs and chords. Gareth himself explains his process as “I set out to tell a story and vibe through the deep stabs and then create some dynamic moments in a club without resorting to any recognisable vocals and sounds. I really liked the feeling I got from the stabs so built my track around them.” 

Distinction is a touch harder, with a similar sound palette and a hypnotic vibe. Lasty, Dynamic is perhaps the deepest of the three, with an evolving synth hook that draws you into its groove.

With the Rustling of Mind EP, he signs a project with Fantastic Friends that is both subtle and powerful. The tracks reveal an immersive sound narrative: organic textures, precise rhythms, and a hypnotic tension that captures the listener from the very first seconds. This EP perfectly illustrates his ability to combine dancefloor effectiveness with richness of listening outside the club.

“Punch” is the latest single from UHMAD — an electronic house/techno piece born after-hours on a night when everything felt lost. What started as a simple test unexpectedly turned into a live capture, recorded externally and built on only eight channels.
Captured in a live session through live looping, this track became the first UHMAD recording shared in this raw, unpolished format on SoundCloud. A spontaneous moment that hit harder than planned — hence the name, “Punch.”
