The​ ​word​ ​crow​ ​in​ ​Hebrew​ ​(עורב,​ ​Orev)​ ​means​ ​guardian​ ​which​ ​refer​ ​to​ ​the​ ​mutual responsibility​ ​that​ ​crows​ ​share​ ​among​ ​each​ ​other.
Modest​ ​crow​ ​is​ ​Asaf​ ​Herrmann,​ ​was​ ​born​ ​in​ ​Haifa,​ ​Israel.​ ​After​ ​years​ ​of​ ​living in​ ​a​ ​Commune,​ ​he​ ​was​ ​reminded​ ​of​ ​the​ ​symbiotic​ ​relationship​ ​that​ ​different mammals​ ​and​ ​birds​ ​share,​ ​like​ ​a​ ​flock​ ​of​ ​crows.​ ​Ever​ ​since​ ​then​ ​the​ ​crow​ ​has been​ ​his​ ​source​ ​of​ ​inspiration.At​ ​the​ ​age​ ​of​ ​22,​ ​after​ ​his​ ​first​ ​Techno​ ​party in​ ​Tel​ ​Aviv,​ ​feat.​ ​Boris​ ​Brejcha,​ ​Modest​ ​Crow​ ​felt​ ​something​ ​amazing.​ ​The experience​ ​left​ ​a​ ​strong​ ​impact​ ​on​ ​him,​ ​curiosity​ ​to​ ​produce​ ​electronic​ ​music. Tel​ ​Aviv​ ​looked​ ​like​ ​the​ ​answer​ ​but,​ ​it​ ​was​ ​only​ ​a​ ​temporary​ ​stop​ ​before landing​ ​in​ ​Berlin,​ ​The​ ​Mecca​ ​of​ ​Techno.

Tom fing bereits in jungen Jahren mit dem Auflegen an. Geprägt durch viele Club Besuche seit Mitte der 90er Jahre fand er schnell die Begeisterung zum Musik machen. Anfangs mit Reggae und Drum and Bass, begeisterte ihn auch zunehmend die elektronische Musik. 2010 gründete er mit anderen Berliner Freunden das Kollektiv Klangkost. Heute ist er Mitglied der Polylog Arts Familie und bespielt viele Clubs, Open Airs und Festivals.
Sein grooviger Sound mit einer Mischung aus Tech House, Techno und House fesselt die tanzende Meute durch eingängige Melodien und die gewisse Abwechslung.
