Olffmann is a french DJ/producer from Toulouse. He played already to Berlin, Paris, Toulouse, Bordeaux or Saint Etienne and several festivals sharing the line-up with artists as Teenage Mutants [Stil Vor Talent], Loco & Jam [Suara], Dustin Zahn [Drumcode], Felix Kröcher [Form Music].

Moreover since few months, Olffmann becames resident to the Redgate, a techno club from Bordeaux.

Sasha's Last Night On Earth imprint celebrates its 100th release milestone with its first compilation, 'LNOE 100' - an 11 track LP that selects a team of all-star producers to remix some of the labels most successful releases.

Stepping up to the plate to give her interpretation of Sasha's 2015 banger 'Vapourspace' is techno queen Nicole Moudaber. 

The inexorable dance music star explains her love of the track she's been asked to remix, saying: "Sasha's original version of Vapourspace is a masterpiece... a 9-minute euphoric slow build of a track, layers of dreamy immersive textures, taking you on a real journey - something Sasha is so good at, both in his productions and his DJ sets. Reminds me of the Northern Exposure days... it takes me back to Twilo - epic.  I couldn't resist getting my hands on this one and putting my stamp on it. I've taken it into a tougher territory, whilst being respectful of the euphoric dreamy feeling of the original - hopefully people can close their eyes and get really lost in it on the dancefloor."

‘Anomaly’ is this year’s full-length release by Steyoyoke, presenting familiar roster artists as well as industry newcomers. A close collaboration between some of the most talented producers on the label. Anomaly will be split in two parts with two separate releases. Part one features the label’s lighter, ethereal signature sound and Part two will showcase the darker, more traditional techno. 

Kicking off Anomaly (Part 1) are Soul Button & Modeplex with their track, ‘Ardor’. It has a strong beginning that builds steadily to a wide, misty soundscape, feeling both peaceful and motivating. 

It then pulls back to a more minimal, rhythm-driven ending that sets the tone for the next track, ‘Dome’ by Ceas. Here Ceas uses a melody to take the listener into a suspended space, caught between tension and release. The track develops with subtle changes in bass and percussion, whilst tying each section together with a consistent theme.

The third track, ‘Catharsis’ by Clawz SG & Soul Button, introduces layers of smoother tones, echoing to give a sense of mystery and wonder. There is a softness to this track combines with hints of darkness to make a compelling number. 

Clawz SG continues with ‘Esperanza’, making a statement with a beginning focused on unusual, earthy percussion. Hypnotic synths build steadily before the track erupts into a powerful, stadium-worthy finale. 

The final appearance of Clawz SG on the album is ‘Lost Signal’, co-written by Ceas. Layers of syncopation set this track apart as a stand-out with its distinct energy and rhythm, while a delicate transitional section places this in the space between ethereal and traditional techno.

Immerse yourselves and let it take you on a journey of pure aural pleasure. Be on the lookout as Part 2 is just right around the corner to complete this stunning album.

3 QUESTIONS to MODEPLEX:

Q: Listening to your set shows a lot of young classics. The music isnt that old yet but it tells exactly your story. Tell us about your roots.

A: I started making Techno around 4 years ago. Before that I was really active in the Drum N Bass and Breakbeat scene. I guess it is still influencing me. I didn‘t had a specific plan when I was starting to make Techno. I was goofing around with my instruments and it really took a while till I got something cool. Than I was releasing something and got my very first support by Miss Melera. She played my tracks right from the beginning. But as it is always at the beginning, you do a lot false decisions and bullshit. I realized that I will stuck if there is no concept, story, philosophy or anything behind. So I started to think what I am actually doing and if is it good, and if not what can I change. So I slowly got a better feeling for the productions and finally I had my release „Pulsar“ in December 2017 on JEAHMON! which made the things start rolling.

Q: Your productions and releases already gave you the chance to play in countries such as India, Ukraine, Spain, Belgium or Russia. How would you describe your development and your place inside the scene?

A: I am still a super tiny newbie and I don‘t understand how everything works. It feels like I still have to learn one million things. Sometimes I feel so stupid when someone tells me: „Dave, you didn‘t know that“? And I am like: „Ammmm no“! But I guess that is normal. I would say, I don‘t have any specific place inside the scene yet. I am currently creating it! That is my development.

Q: Whats coming up next and which future projects are on the way?

A: I am currently working on my most personal and technically most advanced EP for already 5 months now. So yeah, that‘s one of my most biggest projects that will show up later this year. For now I am finishing a few collaboration tracks and I am touring a lot this summer. I am so looking forward to shows in Yerevan - Armenia, Cyprus, Hamburg, Berlin, India again and more to come.

Inspired by the infamous Amsterdam GZG underground parties, clubbing experiences in Berlin and endless after hours in his former bar27 basement, Olivier Weiter has grown to become more than an established name in the Dutch house & techno scene. 

Olivier played at numerous clubs and festivals worldwide. From Canada, Brazil, Argentina, India, Mexico and all over Europe, to many shows in his home country like Awakenings Festival, Loveland, Welcome to the Future and Cocoon. His ability to take people on a musical journey has been proven more than once with boundless marathon sets at Berlin clubs like Wilde Renate, Katerblau & Sysiphos and his all day & night shows at the infamous Thuishaven and at De Marktkantine in Amsterdam.

Olivier started his own label "WEITER" which provide a platform for both young talented producers and established names in the scene, who all have one thing in common - reflecting the sound that Olivier wants to transmit at that moment. The releases are getting lots of support from a wide range of DJ's, and hitting the charts frequently. Recently, the Mees Salomé remix from "Toyger" reached number one at the Melodic House & Techno top 100 on Beatport. 

In addition to key releases on his own label, production wise Olivier has also had releases on acclaimed labels such as Sudbeat, Einmusika Recordings, Filth on Acid, Parquet Recordings and Ritual.

Olivier Weiter @ Melodic Therapy #065 - Netherlands

Opposite Ways is an Italian-based duo from Milan comprised of Gabriele Bianchi and Gabriele Pavanati. To broaden their knowledge of electronic music, each member attended the Nut Academy in Naples where they found their sonorous imprint in melodic house.
A year later they landed their first EP on Three Hands Records, followed by another on Konfluenz Audio. Later they returned to Three Hands Records with their 'Nothing Is Lost' EP which includes a powerful remix by Modal, then their track 'Arrival' on Awen Records. Their first collaboration with the Mexican duo MIHØLNIR, led them to signing with Us & Them Records, which gained massive support from great artists such as Blancah, Amare, and Paul Anthonee. Following that, they also worked with OBENMUSIK and AddictedMusic and in 2019, they received support from the likes of Tale Of Us, Undercatt, Fideles, Fur Coat, Øostil and Soel, thanks in part to their 'Apparat-Brandenburg' unofficial edit and releases on Prisma Techno, WOOD and Venom Recordings.

Madd Rod's vision of music comes from his early-developed curiosity, which has made the artist explore different soundscapes while finding his musical identity. For him, music is much more than an assembling of sounds: it is a constant reminder of the experiences he has lived through it.

Rodrigo was born in Lisbon and raised in its outskirts, being inevitably influenced by this intriguing melting pot. His music is a reflection of this mess, mixing a fresh technological sound design with traditional elements from ancient cultures.

In 2017, right after releasing 'Afraid to Love' on Alex Ferrer's Deeplomatic Recordings, the artist moved to Tübingen, in the South of Germany, where he started to dig deeper into the realms of Melodic House & Techno. There he launched his first label, Inner Shah Recordings, and found a receptive crowd with whom he could field-test his Melodic Techno tracks. He also met like-minded artists like Cedric Scheibel, with whom he shared the booth in the label's debut event and produced his first collaboration - Pit Viper.

In 2019, the artist decided to focus all of his efforts on music, achieving key milestones which motivated him to go further. Two months after warming up for Oxia at Ministerium (Lisbon), Rod flew to Germany to headline Electric Sundown Festival, where he could field-test his 'The Chase' EP with his favorite crowd. During that Summer of 2019, he started his residency at The Lounge Vale do Lobo, where a growing audience keeps coming back for his eclectic sets of Organic House, Downtempo, and Melodic House.

After the busy summer, the artist went on his first tour, during which he met like-minded artists on a short halt at ADE and started producing the first tracks of his first studio album. During this tour, the artist played gigs in Lisbon, Berlin, Tübingen, Paris, and Lisbon again.

In 2020, the artist joined forces with the Lisbon-based Live Agency, with whom he launched VIAGE, his second record label, where he released his No One's Fault EP and Belderone EP, together with RUBIUM, as well as a remix for the Brazilian rising star Mila Journée.

His first album 'Dystopian Desert' was released on Inner Shah on July 31st, 2020, and got its second round with its versatile EP of remixes, out on November 20th, 2020. The EP includes remixes by Rafael Cerato, Dizharmonia, Modeplex, To Ricciardi, Mila Journée, and Kishan.
