Podcast #3 - Crazy Calm (Melodic Techno)

Tel Aviv based Ran Salman is a Live Act, DJ and Producer. Influenced by a broad range of electronic music genres from house, deep house and techno to disco and world music, he cre- ated his very own style.
Arrangements of spherical melodies and edgy elements, combined with oriental influences from his home country and various percussions, he is expressing his thoughts and emotions through analog synthesizers, drum machines, bass guitar and even his own voice.
Ran is also a live artist who builds and crafts his own unique instruments and perform with them in a new and exciting way.
Over the years, Ran has gained great support from Solomun, Magdalena, Black Coffee, Agents of Time, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and many more.
In 2014 Ran signed to the Berlin based label Steyoyoke, with his ‘Fractured Memories’ EP.
Ever since, Ran Salman released under Steyoyoke / Steyoyoke Black label, Einmusika / EIN2, The Soundgarden and in 2018 he joined BOg’s imprint ‘ATLANT Recordings’ with his EP ‘Through The Woods’ which gained a lot of support in the Afro House scene, hitting the Beatport chart at #3 for a while. Currently Ran is working on building new instruments for his live shows and perform live acts and DJ sets around the world.

A hallmark of quality stamped through an ever-increasing catalogue of innovative work, a string of cross-genre hits in the techno, melodic and deep house arenas has been a constant theme, while Lonya’s production work continues to scale new heights with his ground-breaking sonic architecture. With over 400 production credits to his name across a plethora of labels, Lonya’s distinctive sound has seen him courted by the industry’s blue-chip imprints. Italian producer Carlo Whale has been making waves since 2013, developing and honing his craft in his hometown of Cagliari. He has worked to present an emotive, organic, unique sound by pursuing boundaries between music, technology and nature. He has deepened his connection with synthetic sounds with a degree in Electronic Music at Cagliari Conservatory.

Carlo has several quality releases landing on labels such as Oddity, Einmusika, Steyoyoke, and Manual, amongst others, establishing himself as one of the most exciting breaking-through artists of 2021.
