Searching for the fusion between eclectic styles of electronic music, they give rise to innovation that is both groovy and mysterious, transporting you to an altered state. The aquatic sounds develop themselves as the sampled voices in the distance, delicately coated with effective rhythmic.
In addition, the track « Breakpoint » is remixed by Martin Dacar, an extremely talented German producer and the founder of his own label, Sonett; and the track « Dleifretseh » is remixed by Miro Pajic, German as well, the producer with almost thirty years of career never stops dazzling us!

Presenting their second release of the year, REFRACTION RECORDS welcomes Chiari to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Brazil, Chiari first emerged in 2019 on the strength of releases for The Purr and Magician on Duty. With a deep, organic and groovy sound, the Balneário Camboriu resident was quickly tipped as a new artist to watch going forward. The next three calendar years would see Chiari choose his projects wisely, adding Hoomidaas, Seven Villas and Where The Heart Is to his discography, while refining his repertoire with further depth, colour and detail. A remix of Pedro Capelossi's 'Horimono' via Loot Recordings ended 2023 on a high note, ultimately leading to his first release of 2024, and subsequent Refraction debut 'Plans & Plants', alongside remixes from Retza and Luis León.

Merin is back with its 8th volume, showcasing a mighty nine (count ‘em) artists from around the world across four tracks, showcasing the very best of the deeper genres within the electronic music spectrum.

Argentina’s fast-rising Mariano Mellino and Gio Santi leap out the starting-blocks with their electronica showpiece ‘Feeling’; built around a New Order-esque vocal and breakbeat it establishes the high quality of the EP from the off. Turkey’s Black Batu and Orkun Bozdemir collaborate to give us 'Glitch Fields', a guitar infused melodic techno masterclass that perfectly captures the current vibe of Istanbul’s thriving club scene. There’s a welcome return for Ambear and his brilliant, indie-inspired ‘OBER’, whilst things conclude on an incredibly beautiful note with 'Us', a progressive goose-bumper by All That Matter, Johnny Chief, Le Prèsident and B’IDA.

Kina - Get You The Moon (MUUI Edit)

After Andhim remixed it last year, Samantha Loveridge now adds her own spin to Blanka Mazimela feat. Korus & Sobantwana's 'Gcwanini'. This is her first return to the label since she collaborated with Lizwi on 'Beka' last year and after her cover of REM's 'Losing My Religion' became a big hit for the Sydney-based rising star. She has played all across the world in recent times and counts the likes of Black Coffee, Jimi Jules, and Rüfüs Du Sol as fans of her work.

Her superb remix brings some signature Afro warmth and house depth to the original. The vocal is a spine-tinging one with smoky soul while the synths keep you on edge as the drums roll on in an uplifting fashion. It is a truly standout track full of character.

Eclectic house duo andhim's remix from back in October is also included. It enriches the soul with the stirring vocals and authentic Afro-house flavours in the percussion and chord work. The rich and atmospheric original closes out this fantastic package.
