"Heerhorst marks his debut on NYLO LAB with the outstanding 'Skyfall'. The German producers work constantly receives high praise by the who is who of electronic music world. With his long-awaited NYLO LAB debut, Heerhorst delivers a slice of indie vibes titled 'Skyfall'. The original track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through indie dance inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth to round off this classy piece of music.

First up on remix duty we have US producer Ucros who also marks his debut on the label with a driving club mix to get you moving. The US producer duo is known for his melodic techno influenced sound, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh and exciting. Lovely rework from Ucros.

Ivan Berkowitz & Matiso are up next on remix duty. The duo doesn't need any introduction. The duo created a marvelous indie dance rework full of tension from the word go. Their mix oozes atmospheric vibes throughout and keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The groove and melodic warmness are the key here, as their restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

With 'Skyfall' Heerhorst really shows that there're no boundaries, as his beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smiles induced moments! Despite our immense love for Melodic Techno, we also love other music genres. Because of that, for our PRT073 we came up with an Indie Dance EP.  Tom Keller continues to emerge in the underground scene as one of the good promises coming from Brazil, exemplifying his sound power, the producer delivers the EP "No Stop" composed of two original tracks that talk between Indie Dance and Peak Time from the best tracks in the world .  The title track "No Stop" delivers dramatic lines and a deep and well-structured melody that generates a great anti-drop expectation on the track, its drop delivers the necessary emotion that the audience craves, forming a prolific conversation with the audience that surrenders to the emotion provoked by the track.  "Pomba" comes with a groovy bass line that paves the progressive and energizing journey orchestrated by the hands of Tom Keller. Its synths form a perfect symbiosis between rhythm and melody, delivering a powerful and sophisticated Indie Dance. The producer delivers a worthy work that presents Prototype listeners with a genuine connection to electronic music.

No Stop EP

'The third release of 2023 comes from the label’s friend and somewhat resident His. Creator. Who will be doing his second EP. The EP is titled ‘Blackout’ and contains two unique melodic techno tracks, injected with some electro elements. Also, the label is very happy to welcome Darse with a heavy-hitting remix of the title track.

The EP starts off with the title track ‘Blackout’ and as mentioned before it’s quite a special one, because it’s hard to label it to a genre. Immediately the track begins with a heavy kick, which gets accompanied by multiple raw and electro-influenced elements. Throughout the arrangement more layers unfold, creating a regulated chaos. 

In his remix Darse stripped back the original and took a few of the impressive raw elements and the vocal chords of the original. An outstanding organic and straight forward kick gets introduced from the beginning, around which a specious play of percussion, hats and sharp basses takes place. All this builds towards the second part of the remix, where the purpose becomes clear while other elements of the original are getting introduced.

‘Overdrive’ brings the EP to an energetic end. The driving and ongoing arp can be seen as the motor of the track, which get accompanied by quite a tiny kick with below a pounding sub bass. During the break a new panned synth comes forward, giving the track an extra dimension, after which it goes back in its hypnotic rhythm with more surprises to come.'
