Dreaming Awake's 50th release marks a milestone for a label focused on simply releasing music they love!

A big focus of the label is to help newer artists establish themselves too and Ghostpipes is easily the top artist the label is pushing! The brainchild of Sam Penkacik from San Diego, California, this multi instrumentalist and singer is one of those rare musicians that is certain to become extremely famous worldwide.

The original "As We Rise" was featured on the labels Dreaming Of Snowfall compilation in late 2024 and now comes 3 stunning remixes by Desert Dwellers, Wild Dark & ariaano, and Wolf Ear & Fassbender! This also marks the first new Desert Dwellers track with their new band member Sarkis Mikael!!!

All 3 remixes take the track into a unique soundscape all tied together by the gorgeous vocals and melodic elements of the original song.

The opening seconds of the first track Embrace suggest a tropical setting—droplets, chimerical wind instruments and organic strings trickle into earshot. It’s ultimately a track for the dancefloor, so scattered broken beat loops swiftly make an appearance, along with a gleaming synth that makes for a memorable breakdown. Palmfood takes the same approach, blending organic sound patterns with dancefloor staples on second track Shove as well, which abounds in layered percussion and glitched out synths.
On the flipside, Daniel Rateuke channels equally exotic soundscapes, adding some fitting vocal loops on Yassah and marrying large, dreamy pads with zig zagging synth twists on Sambula.

Daniel Rateuke - Sambula [Snippet]

2019 sees the introduction of a new ATLANT concept in the first of our Re-WIRED series, which presents a track from our back catalogue to different artists who take the circuitry, stems and elements apart - to create something new fresh and innovative.

Thodoris Triantafillou’s original of ‘Scorn’ garnered attention from a host of DJs in 2018, with the likes of Solomun, Black Coffee, Adana Twins and John Digweed all featuring the infectious vocal in live sets and radio shows. Given Scorn’s genre crossing popularity it seemed the logical choice to remix and Jonas Rathsman, Night Talk and Prop & Ganda all demonstrate creativity and diversity in their approach.

First up is Sweden’s Jonas Rathsman [ELEMENTS] with his intricate and unique take on ‘Scorn’. Even though Jonas fuses many layers there is always a complete sense of space throughout this mini opus. Buzzing lines, simmering arps, clanging organic percussives and chopped up vox awaken your senses as deep bass, a nagging groove, modal diatonic chords and a momentous breakdown engulf you. The off kilter keys and use of the iconic vocal throughout make this the perfect mood setter.

Already part of the ATLANT family, Switzerland’s Night Talk returns to the label fresh from the ATL020 Moran EP and releases on his AYM label, plus MoBlack. Lukas’s remix is a dark classy 4/4 synth infused builder, using the vocal to increase the drama alongside jagged lines and stirring FX before emotional flowing keys enter for a driving sustained dance-floor barrage. Plus the DJ friendly outro is perfect for extended looped musical transitions.

This maiden Re-WIRED journey completes a perfect circle bringing ‘Scorn’ back to Greece via Prop & Ganda, who have close links to Thodoris Triantafillou’s Glory Hill Studio under the hill of the ancient Acropolis citadel. With a real dusk vibe Prop & Ganda have produced a pure club gem that froths away, unleashing menacing arps and heavy bass. The ‘Scorn’ vocal is used to full effect, especially in a breakdown that make you imagine your hands are raised, feeling the cool night air on your fingers amongst a hot intense crowd all swaying in unison to the beats.


All three of these remixes have been road tested by ATLANT impresario BOg from Tel Aviv and Beirut to Kiev and Odessa. It’s safe to say that all three re-imaginings work brilliantly. So it’s a huge thank you to all four artists involved with re-calibrating the wires and circuits on this project.

Our next Chapter brings Berlin-based Daniele Di Martino to the fore with a typically robust and direct offering in the form of the Transformer EP.

The MONO.NOISE label head follows up recent releases on Get Physical, Katermukke and Bar 25 with a set of three heavy hitters that showcase his clinical style and very effectively straddle the more melodic end of the worlds of house and techno.

Title track 'Transformer' delivers chunky beats, afro swagger and hooky call and response synths that make for a memorable and lasting impression and beg repeat plays. Meanwhile 'Something' follows this up with a crescendo of eerie top lines and unsettling atmospheres that give way to a pulsing, undulating techno groove. Both tracks are a masterclass in the use of dancefloor tension. 

The package is rounded off by a collaboration with fellow Berliner Robin Schellenberg. 'Gerudi' has a slightly techier flavour anchored around a repeating synth, all set off by a devastating squelchy bass and a soaring break.

These powerful stories in sound are bound to be recounted again and again this summer.
