Now in its fourth year and with one album already under their belt, the Steyoyoke Recordings family are finally ready to follow things up with their second album ‘Coalescence’. A transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self. Our next excursion brings us to the idea of ‘Nirvana’. Self described as psychedelic techno, Franz Alice Stern leads the release with a trance-like, meditative track. 

Miss Melera makes her Polymath debut with a deep and melancholic trip. With important releases on Chapter 24 Records, and Berlin’s Traum Schallplatten, we felt Nirvana was a fitting theme for the artist. As uplifting as it is dark, the track builds momentum through an infectious groove. A break makes space for new musical ideas, until a final climax ends in a melodic release.

Marseille duo, Fathers, take a different approach. Gentle melodies flitter in and out of the ear adding to the refreshing mood.

Part 1 commences with el patròn, Dave Seaman spearheading the attack courtesy of ‘Voodoo Disarray’. Employing a vocal snippet that fans of his classic Renaissance Awakenings compilation will instantly recognise, this has been a secret weapon of the Selador boys for several months. Dee Montero & Dimitri Nakov then return to the label with a collaboration of some magnitude. ‘The duo both reside in Ibiza for the majority of the year and the sunshine soaked vibes of the White Isle most definitely shine through on ‘Alba’. Keeping it classy.

Exclusive Coeus 'Forgotten Love'

Carefully saved within biological circuits that are activated by networks of nerve cells humans gain access to their memory, and therewith to their past, to their knowledge, to colored images of close people, to their lives. Serbian producer Coeus actived his memory of a 'Forgotten Love' for the first release of shortly founded Parisian label Mimesis. The three tracker, consisting of the EP's name giving track 'Forgotten Love', 'Atlantis' and 'Gravity', depicts hidden feelings in space at a musical level. 'Forgotten Love' overwhelms its listeners with a dark fundamental tone that's not taking the track's lead but is certainly responsible for the undertone. The latter is worked out by the synth-chords that deliver a memorable melody that can easily be recalled as its saved within short time in the back of our heads, in our memory, so it is not forgotten but present.

Coeus' EP 'Forgotten Love' will be released February 19th, 2019 on Mimesis.

The 73rd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital begins 2020 with the sparkling "So Corrupted" from Mehmet Akar. A pair of outstanding remixes by veteran producers Sezer Uysal and Nihil Young and Talal complete the EP.

A producer with a rich artistic pedigree, Mehmet Akar quickly found himself making a sizeable impression in the underground dance fraternity. After success with his "Deep Sounds" and "2nd Resurrection" radio shows, the Turkish producer has hit the headlines with over 150 track credits for some of the industry's finest imprints. Moreover, as a winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition and a 2011 release on Last Night On Earth, Akar has gone on to see his music feature on Global Underground, Beatfreak Recordings, and Outside The Box. Both successful high-profile artists in their own rights, Nihil Young and Talal have found further achievement as a creative duo.
