Still with us? Lost On You are back with two thumping melodic techno cuts. This time round, esteemed producer duo Rafael Cerato & Haze-M show their chops on a double EP that thrusts and bumps its way through fourteen minutes of cosmic ascension. "Perihelion EP" runs its course on multiple shots of technoid adrenaline, morphing and coalescing into late-night uproar with hints of 80s synth. Within this stomping backdrop, though, Cerato & Haze-M approach their art with a nuance that allows for headspace and a freedom to move, culminating in a melodic techno monster that gives DJs the tools to work the crowd in their grip.

" Hailing from Cyprus, Paul is making his third appearance on the respected Greek imprint, following remixes in 2017 and 2018, both of which earned critical and commercial success. Recent releases for Beatfreak Recordings and Suara have solidified Paul’s place amongst the electronic music elite, ultimately leading him back to Movement for his first original project alongside remixes from Ran Salman and BLANCAh. 

Beginning with the groovy, cutting edge sounds of the title cut it’s clear Paul has crafted some of his best ever work. Fresh and dramatic across it’s near nine minute journey, it’s a sensory delight full of great dance floor dynamics. As mounds of bass undulate, spacey arps add a cosmic vibe, before eventually melting down into a break of mallet-like clusters and symphonic overlays. Building subtly, the beauty lies in the drop, classy in execution and undeniably groovy with rolling rhythmic qualities, no doubt set for a massive reaction on the dance floor. The companion piece ‘Nemesis’ comes with a deeper and more introspective approach. Warm, punchy beats and tranquil lines set an emotive mood early, with smooth chord changes only adding to it’s poignant charm. The main break furthers the grandiose appeal, as sheets of warm overlays and clattering electronics unite, resulting in a one minute stretch of sonic bliss. 

The lone interpretation of ‘Cheveux Roux’ is provided by Ran Salman who returns to the label for his second appearance. To much acclaim, the Israeli artist made his Movement debut in May of 2017 with a remix of Natural Flow’s ‘Floating’. Subsequent releases on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden , Bog’s Atlant Recordings and DJ Zombi’s Beat Boutique further solidified Ran’s place amongst the industry's most creative talents. Now landing back on Movement he delivers a stunning rendition of ‘Cheveux Roux’. Opting for a distinctly modern approach, Ran reshapes the groove into waves of rippling bass. Dynamic drum fills coupled with organic percussion and crunchy electronics set the stage for a clever take on the lead theme. Cross-cultural in feel, it shifts energy into a section of tripped out designs and wonky modulation, before a third act of striking tonal themes seals it’s brilliance."

The 73rd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital begins 2020 with the sparkling "So Corrupted" from Mehmet Akar. A pair of outstanding remixes by veteran producers Sezer Uysal and Nihil Young and Talal complete the EP.

A producer with a rich artistic pedigree, Mehmet Akar quickly found himself making a sizeable impression in the underground dance fraternity. After success with his "Deep Sounds" and "2nd Resurrection" radio shows, the Turkish producer has hit the headlines with over 150 track credits for some of the industry's finest imprints. Moreover, as a winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition and a 2011 release on Last Night On Earth, Akar has gone on to see his music feature on Global Underground, Beatfreak Recordings, and Outside The Box. Making his debut as part of the "ADE 2017 Sampler", Mehmet Akar returns to Perspectives Digital with the mesmerizing "So Corrupted".

Both successful high-profile artists in their own rights, Nihil Young and Talal have found further achievement as a creative duo. Over 1 million streams of his track "Align" has seen Young stand out in a crowded market. His music for Kindisch, Warung, and his own Frequenza Records has seen the Italian produce highly original melodic, deep, and progressive house with a sprinkling of techno. Joining forces with Talal, the London based producer has been a key figure at events including Robot Hearts, Cream Amnesia Ibiza, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Music signed to the likes of Dear Deer, Natura Viva, and Colore have subsequently seen over a century of credits supported by Maceo Plex and Solomun.

Having had releases on Frankey & Sandrino's artsy imprint Sum Over Histories and Multinotes Hungarian artist MULYA continues to pre-write his own history with another stellar EP, this time on Adana Twins' label TAU. Going by the name of Highlife MULYA delivers four varying cuts that are united under one musical roof and ensure that both DJs and their audiences live the suggest highlife, at least for the moment one of MULYA's tracks is played out. The title track sounds like a futuristic approach to music moving its audience into the cosmic spheres with its lazer-bleeping chords, which open into more calm regions represented by a pad-sequence before one is completely lost in (this) space (moment).

MULYA's Highlife EP will be released on TAU on February 21st, 2020.
