“Jandía” is the breath-taking second single taken from Spanish AFFKT’s upcoming new “The Big Picture” studio album. The LP is set to be released later this summer via Mobilee. For this new single, AFFKT built a striking and dreamlike polyhydric shapes tech-disco cut.  

Captivating music that pays tribute to beautiful Jandía, a peninsula in the south-western part of the island of Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). A nature reserve with gigantic sandy beaches that AFFKT now wants us to visualize through his music.

“Jandía is a wonderful place I was able to discover after a necessary and unforgettable trip this last summer. The beauty of that unique place deeply inspired me… I believe it perfectly invites everyone to fly, to travelling without moving. Let’s become birds and enjoy the views from up there!” AFFKT attests. 

AFFKT definitively drops a lush and melodic track that is perfectly identified with the core of the entire forthcoming LP. And that's because the new album will bring together all the best feelings and elements of the Spanish producer creativity into one cohesive release. New concepts and styles to deliver everyone some of the energy that needs to be released after a forced pause. ‘The Big Picture’ will be probably his most expansive and multifaceted electronic-driven album to date.

Last but not least, “Jandía” EP includes a stunning remix by M.E.M.O. as well as another of the main and original titles included in the new album: “Calipso”. To keep us dancing and enjoying music in a fresh and shiny atmosphere!

Animo Records is back with a release from label head honcho Alfonso Ares, who presents his track "Minha Loirinha" with the collaboration of the violinist player Eric Ramoa, a talented musician from Brazil.

The original track flows between melodic techy progression with organic's string and synth flavours. The release comes complete with a remix from Berlin-based producer Kellerkind, who is very well known for his usual releases on labels like Stil vor Talent, Bar 25 music, Traum or Kattermuke to name a few.

Merging middle-eastern melodic tropes with the most cutting-edge arsenal of circuit-driven chatter, the title-track pulls out an infectious metronomic swagger adorned with EBM-friendly cascades of shimmering bleeps and raging drums that keep on swelling as bars fly by. Doped on fly, chiselled breaks and a fractalised sound design rife with fractured vocal samples, "Permutation" flings us in a furnace of flash-flowing, mangled synth ellipses and bone-bruising bass moves that'll have you hard-pressed to find your way back to the surface. 

Not one to crank it down one inch for real, "Attenuator" does the very opposite of its name, except perhaps for its more understated, deep-end-friendly approach. Going the dubbier way, this one finds Shure boasting the width of his skills and ever-sharp knack for cutting riveting slabs of pared-down psychedelia. Topping it off, "Sopra il Mondo (featuring Francesca Siano)" is a straightforward roller tinged with Shure's broad palette of jazzy inflections, Latin neo-classicism and oriental harmonics. A correspondingly ambitious and inspired closer to a new master stroke from an artist in full possession of his art.

Legends collide in the latest body of work from Spanish label Terranova Records. Steering the ship for number 16 is the renowned Phonique, alongside Brazilian artist Bakka. Their “Unexpected” single is a masterclass of melodic and emotive textures but maintaining the ethos to make you move. The sought after Scoom Legacy remix compliments the release as he takes you on an eccentric trip, in a style and fashion only he knows how.

The original from Phonique and Bakka rumbles amongst the dark depths of the middle of the night, creeping around in a meticulous manner to transcend the listener allowing your thoughts to run wild. Crashing drums drag the track in a forward motion towards the particularly arranged breakdown which simmers at the heart of the track before throwing you back to earth. A track that will surely move you physically and mentally.

Drawing inspiration from the original Scoom Legacy delivers his eclectic remix of “Unexpected”. Chunky drum work drives the song forward as shimmering synths shine brightly beyond the realms of reality. Time and time again Scoom conjures up innovative sounds, always straining the boundaries between sounds and that is why he fits so perfectly with the forward thinking label.

Featuring Phonique & Bakka (BR) on the label is a milestone moment for Terranova, and label regular Scoom Legacy does a fantastic job on the remix, a sure hit this summer amongst the most diverse of DJs.
