Artist Bio

Born and raised in Tokyo and now based in New York City, Alice Iguchi is a rising force in the global electronic music scene. 🇯🇵 Blending deep house, organic techno, and Afro-oriental textures, her sets are a hypnotic journey of warm grooves, tribal rhythms, and soulful ambiance. 🎛️  With an ear shaped by years of eclectic listening ═ from jazz and UK rock to Massive Attack and Motor City Drum Ensemble ═ Alice’s sound is both refined and deeply emotive. 🎺

Alice began her musical path playing guitar in a teenage rock band, later discovering her love for electronic music in college. 👩‍🎓 Drawn by the creative energy of New York, she relocated there in 2017, quickly embedding herself in the underground scene. 🎬 From intimate house parties to renowned venues like Brooklyn Mirage, House of Yes, and Elsewhere, she has captivated audiences with her distinct vibe and immersive sets. 🎚️

Internationally, she’s performed at Sisyphos (Berlin) and Womb (Tokyo), and held a residency at Do Not Sit On The Furniture in Miami, appearing at major events including Art Basel and Miami Music Week. ♪ 🇺🇸 Sharing lineups with industry heavyweights like Guy Gerber, Bob Moses, DJ Tennis, and Maceo Plex, she continues to build a name as both selector and storyteller. 🗽

In addition to her performance career, Alice is passionate about sustainability and social impact. 𑁍 In 2025, she joined the Patagonica DJ Tour with Parties4Peace, raising awareness for environmental conservation across Chilean Patagonia. 🧩

Currently refining her production craft in Ableton Live, Alice is focused on releasing original music that reflects her global influences and personal evolution. 🎼 With roots in Japan and a heart in the world, Alice Iguchi is an artist whose journey is just beginning.♟️

My Feen Festival Set — this was a wild one!

The start was a little bumpy — the program was delayed, so I had to cut my set short. Then as I began, both CDJs started having issues with the tempo faders (the bpm kept drifting). And when night fell, the table lights failed. So mixing on a Xone:96 in the dark felt like going half-blind. But you know how it is — you face the music no matter what!

And in the end, it turned into an unforgettable trip ❤️. I aimed to stay true to my sound at the moment, mixing different styles of house in their deeper, groovier, and darker sides, and combining them with stronger emotional and hypnotic moments to close the journey.

I usually aim for long, smooth transitions, but both the technical hiccups and my own excitement 😊 pulled me off that path at times. Still, I love how the set turned into a beautiful and colorful ride of its own.

Hello again and welcome back to Hidden Garden Radio! 🌿

For episode #114 we have the pleasure of hosting a staple in Ottawa's underground music scene.

DASA is a local Ottawa DJ/producer who got started with music playing bass in progressive metal bands while growing up in the 90s. His influences draw from a wide range of sounds that filled his home growing up - including disco, rock & roll and heavy metal. 

DASA is a multi-genre artist that aims to seamlessly blend light/dark through warm, playful, and always sexy soundscapes with the goal of bringing people together, making them move and making them feel.

He is the co-founder of the House of Kink and SpaceCamp - two of Ottawa’s premier community dance events/raves, both of which aim to capture the essence of some of their favorite festivals, creating welcoming experiences where people feel free and safe to dance, express themselves and make genuine connections. 

He has graced the stage at several nightclubs across Canada and festivals including Summerdaze, Black Rabbit, Front Republic, and AIM.  🔉

Even if you awaken consciousness in a dream you may only be seeing subjective things, in other words projections of your own mind. Just because you awaken in a dream does not mean you are objectively awake. That is another thing and that takes a lot of discipline, a lot of work. Little by little, objective consciousness starts to become one's reality and when that is perfected, one has reached that level, the fourth level.

What matters is how we perceive right now. What is past is gone, it doesn't exist, and there is no future. What exists is right now and that is the door. That door is inside your own heart, it is in your pineal gland, it is in your psyche, it is in your consciousness. To stay focused and standing in that door takes so much willpower and discipline. It is the greatest work any person can ever undertake, not only the most difficult, the most terrifying, the most risky, it is also the most rewarding. The process of awakening the consciousness, receiving the influences of our own Inner Being is the gateway, the door to serenity, to the experience of a tranquil heart, to comprehension of the nature of reality. And again that doesn't come easily, it doesn't come one day to the next.
