The return of Michael Klein was imminent. Considering the magnitude of his last offering, the „Drawing EP“, it was only a matter of time before he returned with another stellar parcel of forward thinking dance floor bombshells. With his latest contribution ‚Metals EP’, Michael presents four stunning numbers displaying not only his trademark sound, but his evolution and range as a highly promising new artist.
The expedition kicks off with „Silver“ and with it a lush presentation of the perfect balance between thrust and elation. While a persistent rush of momentum keeps the pace, slow yet infectious rises and vast ethereal cries of spacious flickers set the stage for a cosmic ride reminiscent of indigenous settings with boundless, star lit skies.
Following suit on the A side sees Michael return to his approach heard on his last EP. Somewhere between the traditional fundamentals and the future stylings of the most distinguished techno lies „Opaque“. With incredible force and exuberance, Klein delivers off kilter grooves that create a contagious, sweat laden exhilaration, nothing short of pure warehouse bliss.
Kicking off the B side is „Outer Shell“ and it is by far the most emotional and cosmic of all the tunes. Opulent melodics construct beams of radiant light found only in the outer reaches of deep space as flashes of meteoric rises and low bursts of impetus propel the auditor into a never-ending journey into a place where time and space cease to exist.
Wrapping things up is a slow burner entitled „Dura 2 feat. aGhost“. A tune that can be played fast or at the slower original speed, it's a beautiful demonstration of resistance and inflection. As chants of a mysterious female fill the room, shimmers of lavish chimes circle slowly to secure an impassioned sentiment of sorrow, excitement and desire.
To compliment the beauty of 'Dura 2' we've enrolled the services of Roman Lindau to put his spin on the original. With just a few elements Lindau expertly creates a monster of a dance floor stormer. As the bassline continually grows and shrinks with a simple but highly effective four to the floor groove, the excitement swells as short stabs of vocals entice the crowd to peaking trepidation.

The track, titled ‘Signs’, is a long winding, slow-building groover, which carries the listener through a deep trance before sprinkling the surface with an ensemble of mind-bending altered stabs. What's more, she has also welcomed two standout producers on board to look after remix duties. Stepping up on the releases are none other than Ian Pooley (Innervisions, Pooled Music) and André Kronert (Figure, Stockholm LTD). The first premiere of 2018 and we are delighted to have our good friend Yarni on remix duties for Max Duke's Animals! A beautiful journey of melodic sounds and solid bass line that drives you throughout the track. 

Release Information:

French artist Max Duke released the first vinyl release on Redlight Music back on September 2012. Since then he has become one of the most prolific artists of the Berlin based label Redlight Music. While he has being releasing music also in some other labels such Shaker Plates, Atmosphere Records, in his own Work & Consume or in the German power house Diynamic Music, as part of the trio ‘Art Is A Consequence’. 

Here comes again Max Duke with ‘Animals”. A beautiful Deep House / Electronica piece with organic synthesizers melodies, shiny percussion, strong bass lines and messy vocal samplers. Far from his groovy House past sound, the french artist has developed his touch into a much more complete electronic sound. Going here full circle with this ‘Animals’, which is the first single of his forthcoming album on Redlight. Along the original mix in this EP, we can find 5 remixes from Yarni, Denite, Danny O, Quatri and LADS. First of the remixes is Quatri. 

Releasing his debut EP on Nie Wieder Schlafen last December, the french artist is boating a huge remix with atmospheric touch and a cut of analog sounds and a dancy beatlines. Building up a moody vibe and expanding sounds into the most brilliant organic collaps that a track revision can offer. 

Next remix is Yarni with a Deep House version. Using an steady bass and an evolving keys melodies to capture the essence of his emotive House touch. While shoots percussion to hold the rhythm and build different vibes along the track. 

Following we find LADS remix. A Slow Deep Atmospheric Techno track with futuristic synth lines and huge bass along the almost 8 minutes journey, completed by chucky vocals and echo effects. 

The Groove comes with Danny O and his remix. The Ibiza based artista with recent releases on Toolroom, Strictly Rhythm, Smiley Fingers, delivers a Tech House track with groovy bass and percussion. Where he does a very well spotted use of vocals, pads and synth keys melodies. 

Closing the releasing is the label boss Denite, with another Tech House weapon that holds a heavy bass line and vocals game play all along the track length.

PREMIERE: Tutti, Orin - Hybrid Brain (Kellerkind Remix) [Frequenza]

First released on their No Stoppin EP in 2003, M.A.N.D.Y.'s 'Tonite' now gets a fresh remaster for 2020 with huge new remixes from Rebolledo, Pete Tong, Maga, President Bongo, m.O.N.R.O.E. and dubspeeka.

Opening up the package in fantastic fashion is Rebolledo, the long time Kompakt artist and original Pachanga Boy. His Collector's Edition mix is a smooth and seductive one with lush synths and nimble grooves all working you into a trance. Radio 1's vital veteran and enduring global tastemaker Pete Tong then steps up with a rare remix that shows why he is such a widely respected icon. He goes for a more prickly version which is lit up with big chords and has plenty of kinetic drum energy and epic breakdowns. Next up, French producer Maga's musical project has turned into a real journey through melodic, organic and minimalistic patterns that cast a fine spell. His version is built on a bass guitar riff that loops beneath cleverly treated vocals and becomes magically psychedelic.

Iceland's President Bongo was a founder of the cult GusGus band who now works solo on the Radio Bongo label and has his own distinctive sound. Evidence of that comes here with a superbly spooky version that has vocal chants shimmering about the mix and races late into the night on an indie licked rhythm. Then it is to Miami's m.O.N.R.O.E., who has been a regular guest on this label over the years and mixed America Gets Physical back in 2018. His version is the deepest of the lot, with subtle claps, atmospheric samples, bird calls and humid grooves that lock you in. Bristol techno producer dubspeeka always brings the UK sound and sense of grimy soul to his music, and he does so again here with a hard hitting, dubbed out yet dreamy rework full of class. Last of all is a fresh remaster of the original version which sounds as crisp and brain soothingly clean as it did when first released.

This top tune is set to be a smash for a second time round thanks to these vital remixes.
