I have been fascinated with the Buddhistic concept of: "Impermanence" - the acknowledgement that nothing lasts forever. Equally insightful is the ancient Greek philosophy of: "Panta Rhei" - referring to the notion that everything flows. You can go to the same beach - but it will always be new water, new sand. Long story short ... It inspired me to write this piece of music - featuring a fantastic 200 people choir and finally ... FINALLY ... A really beefy 70 piece section of bass singers.

Lacrimosa is the largest choir (200 person) ever sampled and was derived from our exclusive V8P sample catalogue. Lacrimosa was recorded in a pyramid like structure with 70 Basses, 60 Tenors, 40 Altos and 30 Sopranos. This allows the males to be equally powerful to the women - who commonly dominate the mix in epic choral scores. We will be releasing a variety of videos, demos and other facts about the library in coming days. Lacrimosa contains 3 microphone positions (Mixed, Decca, Far) and contains an insane amount of articulations, including layered True Legato, extensive sets of Multi-Vowels (allowing the choir to sing 100% realistic and fast), Staccato, Power-Marcato, Arcs, Sustains and many other elements. 17.5GB (lossless compressed from 42GB). 16.500 samples.

Anthology Strings was crafted by Academy Award, TEC and G.A.N.G Award Winning Composer and Producer, Troels Folmann and Emmy-Nominated Composer and Orchestrator, Colin O’Malley. Anthology is the true reimagination of our original Adagio and Agitato String collections – hand-designed with our favorite 66.500 samples from both collections.

Anthology contains both Ensemble, Divisi and Solo String sections for both Violin(s), Viola(s), Cello(s) and Basse(s). All recorded exclusively with grand Neumann microphones – inside a rare church recording environment. The three sensible microphone positions (Close, Mixed, Far) offers you full mastery over the sound. We developed custom techniques for the close microphones – allowing them to record much closer and intimate than your common church scoring environments. No samples overwhelmed in reverb.
