I was honored when https://soundcloud.com/graphicsontelevisions asked me to remake ‘Tattlesnakes’ from their fantastic album ‘Pun’. Maybe it’s the wildest one, unpredictable but coherent, it inspired me immediately !!

I've remixed to my taste their original studio stems (drums & keyboards), adding my own vocals, guitars & more... hard recommendation of headphones again !!

Lyrics are from another of my ancient poems, where I played with oxytone & eproparoxytone rhymes (translated below but with lost effect in English).

Originally posted with Vocals that were pitch shifted because of old track presets that had been used in attempts to record along with Tot's Lonely night https://soundcloud.com/user-288513022/aaa556c0-7505-4e30-9f6e-187b384902e516 over the last three years I've had a copy of the track. When I came across Moongirl and other elements from Wildsilences https://soundcloud.com/wildsilences_music  I imported them into the tracks and assumed all was well as it sounded very close to the original now with added delay and filters for noise. It wasn't until I went back looking for something wrong that I realized what I did.  Removed all pitch shifters and combined and altered by Arma Ig with additional elements of my own creation.

The vibe strives to capture a glimpse of the dream house genre of the mid-1990s.

This song, in case you're not familiar, was written by Medeski, Martin, and Wood with guitarist John Scofield, and performed by them on an album eponymously named A Go Go. Josh has always been a huge fan of both MMW and J.S., and has always wanted to play more of their music, as he used to cover a couple of their songs in one of his main old bands. 
  Josh laid down the bass and after going back an forth a couple of times with Ken and his thrilling drums, they established the rhythm section. Soon after, Josh added his jazzy guitar, as well. We needed someone to play John Medeski's part, too, of course. So, we asked JJ if he'd do the honors, which he did in grand fashion. 
  Once it was all laid down, we needed a good mix, and no one is gooder than Stephen, so we asked him to mix it for us, which he did in his always pro manner. 
  This was a lot of fun to record, and we hope that comes through. This is a stripped down Eclectic Collective collab, where most of what we're all doing is improv. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

FIRST ECLIPSE ON MARS

Year 2015.

I'd only been composing music with my iPad 1 for four years.

I was lucky enough to find an app that allowed me to "make music" easily: Music Studio 2. It's the only DAW I've ever used, aside from trying out a few tracks with Garage Band.

I made an effort to learn, and so every night I searched the software's forum, where other users were asking questions, suggesting improvements, and posting their compositions (some of which were downloadable). Little by little, I got to know some of them and established some trust (I still write to them from time to time...). Yes, I was a forty-something among people twice my age (and much older... in some cases).

The most active was my friend Ronald, who suggested composing music related to the seven deadly sins. I chose envy.

A couple of years later, I completely reworked the melody and added new sounds with synthesizers I obtained from new apps I added to my collection. Although there was some underlying music that connected the two melodies, it couldn't be said to be the same. So I decided to give it another name, and called it First Eclipse on Mars.

I hope you like it.
