This is the oldest tune I have gone back to and finalized to date. This is from way back in 1997 before I started doing multichannel chips.  I have keept it 4chn but added loads of new samples.  

The core of the tune is very basic but coming back to it I’ve tried to have a bit of fun with it to spice things up. 

I see this as a throw away sort of song, but having finalized it I might as well post it here in case some one else feels otherwise.

Hasmusic is the first single from Galus' "Flowers eat Animals" EP [UKM 037]

After quite a long break, the artist behind one of the biggest bestsellers in U Know Me Records’ history is back. His previous album Futura sold out swiftly, and listeners’ appetite for new music from Galus (aka Rafał Gałaszewski) has been enormous.

Flowers Eats Animals is a remarkable record in many respects, and the artist himself describes it so:

“The idea for the album came about in my mind around 2011. I got to the point where I didn’t really know what kind of music I wanted to make, but I also knew that I didn’t want to repeat the ideas that I had already recorded. I wanted this material to contain the entire cross-section of music that has always inspired me - electro-acoustic music, experimental music from the 60s, as well as the fusion of jazz, electronic music, and progressive rock. Deciding on the instrumentation for the recordings, and the final sound I wanted to achieve, was what took the longest. The original version of this record was recorded in late 2012, but it didn’t stand the test of time and only a sketch of one track survived and was further developed for this record. The original plan was for this record to be a full-length album, but it turned out that four tracks, and the format of an EP, ideally suited the themes I wanted to explore and conveys the direction in which I’m developing my music.”

Five musicians joined Galus in recording the music for this record, including Elżbieta Baklarz, Dominika Gałązka, Marcel Mrozowski, Marek Pędziwiatr, and Wojciech Sobura.

Flowers Eat Animals was mastered by Mikołaj “Noon” Bugajak from the audio-games.pl studio. He described the EP:

"It’s a great pleasure to hear original music that doesn’t follow any trends, but is the result of personal explorations. This is something that is truly lacking in our country."

Let’s not forget the graphic design, which in this case was created by Przemek “Sainer” Blejzyk from Etam Crew. We have good news for his fans as well - each vinyl record will include a poster of the EP’s cover artwork.

Po dość długiej przerwie z nowym materiałem powraca autor jednego z największych bestsellerów w historii U Know Me Records. Jego ostatni album „Futura” [UKM 008] rozszedł się błyskawicznie, więc apetyt na nową muzykę od Rafała Gałaszewskiego znanego jako Galus, był olbrzymi.
„Flowers Eat Animals” to płyta niezwykła pod wieloma względami, o czym najlepiej opowie sam autor:

„Pomysł na album zrodził się w mojej głowie ok 2011 roku, chwilę po tym jak dotarłem do momentu w którym nie za bardzo wiedziałem jaką muzykę chcę tworzyć, wiedziałem natomiast że nie chcę powtarzać tematów które już nagrałem. Zależało mi żeby ten materiał zawierał w sobie cały przekrój muzyki która zawsze mnie inspirowała, czyli muzyka elektroakustyczna oraz eksperymentalna z lat 60 oraz fuzja Jazzu z elektroniką i rockiem progresywnym. Najwięcej czasu zajęło mi zdecydowanie jakie instrumentarium zostanie użyte do nagrań oraz jakie finalnie brzmienie chcę osiągnąć. Pierwotna wersja płyty była nagrana pod koniec 2012 roku, niestety nie przetrwała próby czasu i z tamtej wersji został tylko zarys jednego utworu, który został rozbudowany i znalazł się na tym albumie. W początkowym założeniu miał być to longplay, jednak okazało się, że 4 utworu wyczerpują tematy który sobie założyłem i forma EP jest idealna dla tej historii oraz obrazuje kierunek w jakim staram się rozwijać.”

This tune started as a ring signal for a friend but when I got going it quickly became too long.

There is a little story behind this one.

After finalizing a bunch of old tunes without any size/channel restraints I wanted to challenge myself. The goal was to make a little 4chn chip no more than 20kb. Possibly as a contribution for the EDISON 2013 oldschool/tracked music competition.

I scanned through my old workfiles and stumbled upon a few patterns from 1999 I could not remember having made. I got a bit of an inspiration going, came up with an idea for a progression and hammered it out as fast as I could. It ended up the tune you can listen to on this page.

…the thing was I still wasn’t sure about those instigating patterns so I asked around with some old scene friends. Finally it turned out those first patterns were made by Loonie. It was something he wrote down when he was brainstorming for a contribution for the chiptune compo at LTP3-party back in 1999.

I asked if he was OK with me releasing this tune as a coop, he said yes and here we are.

We hope someone enjoys the final tune!
