This release is an international compilation of 10 tracks produced exclusively by women from various horizons. This compilation was curated in support of women and the Iranian people in general. Proceeds will be redistributed to the "Collectif Femme Azadi" association, which provides material and media support for their struggle.

The journey begins with The Year of Blood by Gülce Özen Gürkan, a multi-layered dark and industrial soundscape, incorporating samples of the voice of Masih Alinejad that introduces the political nature of this release. Next, I Am an Iranian Woman by Nour Kara & Juliette Capel is a mixture between industrial, organic sounds, cello and voice, with a powerful atmosphere. The track Infinite Expansion by the duo Catenation is a dark ambient interlude before the banger Corpo in which Sara Brown lays her words on the edge-cutting production of Mad Monkey. Another duo, Flugen feat. Hura Mirshekari, proposes Mashaal, an introspection tack with deep vocals and rhythmics : The message of Mashaal is that the torch can never be turned off; wherever we are, we hold the roots of our lands and it is our duty to keep the fire burning. To wake you up from this dream comes Constructor, a breakbeat roller by Lyschen Finkorum, developing a great work on evolving patterns. Afterward, F9THF brings us Mina, on which she used her voice and complex polyrhythms in a delightful and glitchy combination. The next track, suyumuz özelleştiriliyor by pyruvicac.id, sounds like a long and gloomy ritual, with mutating vocal pads, tabla drums and acid synths. The penultimate track, Hundestern Klein produced by Marka Tamea, is a downtempo acid banger, containing crazy-sounding vocals by Rasputoin. Finally, The Chase, a mental techno roller by SDYK, closes this compilation.

[909CNT009] Various Artists - JIN JIYAN AZADÎ: Voices for Iran

For its tenth release, 909 Connection is back with a 5-track EP based on an original concept. Taking Swooh's track Artificial Limbo as a starting point, 4 producers followed one another, each appropriating elements from the previous artist to create a cascade of remixes.

The initial track is a futuristic banger with a ghetto-tech, breakbeat and mental trance sound that will have no trouble shaking up dancefloors.
For the first remix entitled Artificial Himbo, STUPR offers an explosive version, giving pride of place to analogue and distorted sounds, introducing an acid lead that evolves over the course of the track.
After an ambient intro, the next remix, Patriarchal Himbo, produced by Islyz, builds to a powerful dancehall rhythm, culminating in a breakcore/IDM climax.
Then it's R.2614's turn with his interpretation entitled Patriarchal Hippo, where he lays down his characteristic rhythms over the layers of the previous track, in a dark atmosphere ending with an effective four-on-the-floor.
The final link in the chain, Patriarcal Zippo by Lord Jalapeños, is a demonstration of the producer's talent for electro rhythms with sci-fi sound design percussion.

[909CNT010] Various Artists - Passe Passe le Track

For his second EP, R.2614 continues to deepen his universe with 4 tracks complemented by 2 remixes by Bias and STUPR.

The first track, 'Illusion', plunges us into a dark atmosphere, depicted by a heavy, EBM-influenced rhythm section, aggressive acid synths and ghostly, authoritative vocals. 'Élévation' then comes with a higher tempo as well as a lighter atmosphere: gravity diminishes and we're lifted by the pads and sci-fi synths of this resolutely techno DJ tool. The ascent continues with 'Destination', a track with a steady rhythm and a soaring aura, ideal for filling the dancefloor with love and tenderness. Finally, 'Prédiction' takes us back into an obscure climate, consolidated by a heady bass and distant nightmarish wails, with a mysterious and disturbing prophetic voice.

The first remix, by Bias, offers us a revisited version of 'Élévation', which is marked by lush sound design and a complex rhythmic pattern. To close the EP, STUPR offers us a remix of the same track tinged with UK techno influences, with a consistent breakbeat and rolling bassline.

STUPR is back on 909 Connection with a 5-track EP made of organic sounds, inspired by techno, trance and bass music.
Buzzing Bumblebees kicks things off with a post-dancehall beat, airy drums and ethereal melodies, in a mood that oscillates between tension and relaxation. Then it's on to Dolphin Syndrome, a trancy and melancholic techno track with a bionic sound design. The pressure builds on Weasels Den, a minimalist, heady and hypnotic third track. The tempo finally reaches a climax with Cult of Coriolis, the EP's eponymous track, in which dub-techno stabs answer to a frantic rhythm and futuristic effects. To end on a gentler note, Gloomy Thoughts Erasing Center will relieve your soul of its torturing questions thanks to its soothing melodies and relaxing percussion.

[909CNT012] STUPR - Cult of Coriolis

Healing Noises is a producer from south of France, inspired by multiple genres such as techno, IDM, breakbeat or electronica.
Three years after her first appearance on the label, she comes back on 909 Connection with a 3-tracks EP. This release is a great demonstration of her ability to jump from one style to another, while maintaining a coherent atmosphere and sound design. The first track, Oisidara, consists of a slow breakbeat associated with deep ambient chords, dubbed-out vocals and warm bass. Then, Silver Pad takes us far away into a magic IDM journey with its ambient layers, melancholic lead, and futuristic drum programming. Last but not least, She Was a Fairy is a techno banger designed for the rave with a very strong and compact rhythm section, alongside chopped vocals and atmospheric pads.

[909CNT013] Healing Noises - She Was A Fairy

Already the sixth release for 909 Connection, who continue their exploration across electronic music beyond any boundaries: slow-tempo, tribal, breakbeat, 80’s pop, dub…
For the occasion, the label invited 3 artists and its resident FIDY to remix ‘Running Turtles’, a track by STUPR.
This downtempo tune which associates heavy tribal percussions with a joyful melody and dub effects is a perfect example of the genre melting pot that influences the label.
For the first remix, it is Acidfinky, a Berlin-based artist, who proposes to us her breakbeat infused interpretation, well shaped to smash any dancefloor.
The tempo goes down a notch with the balearic balad made in Belgium by UMA, which sounds like a late summer celebration, a parenthesis before the sun rises again.
The third remix provided by Healing Noises takes us into a parallel underwater universe, where the party mood leaves room for melancholic pads.
As an ending, FIDY has transformed the original piece into a long progression, where the tension breaks free through a new theme interpreted with his guitar and voice.
At the end of this trip, you will have only one question in mind: where and when will we leave again ?

STUPR - Running Turtles (Acidfinky Remix)

After a first appearance on Heuristique II [909CNT004], Dael Phonom is back on 909 Connection for a five track EP. This release entails us into the complex and broken universe of the Toulouse (FR) based producer.

The adventure starts with the eponym title, Floating, a smooth yet efficient broken beat that bears the weight of melancholic and nagging melodies. The second track begins with a field recording that projects you straight in the Pyrénées, aka the Hills from Nowhere, where a nervous rhythm associates to chromatic progressions. As you slowly drift into madness, Trantor will tap into your darkest resources to deliver a powerful breakcore beat, driven by a paranoïd detuned synths. In the fourth track, Wrecks, drums are getting even more saturated and synths more glitchy, for what sounds like a cry of despair and affliction.

As an ending, STUPR took down the tempo for a remix of Hills from Nowhere, which now sounds like a wake-up after a bad nightmare… Unless you are still sleeping ?

This release is an international compilation of 10 tracks produced exclusively by women from various horizons. 
I Am an Iranian Woman was produced by Nour Kara and Juliette Capel. Nour Kara, Iranian producer of electronic music, composes and performs live with analog and digital machines with dual nationality and with glitches, industrial, dark-wave, post-punk, EBM influences. 
In this project her electronic music meets the multi-instrumentalist Juliette Capel and her cello. Juliette Capel offers in this project a non-classical interpretation of the cello whose sounds are modulated by effects. The result is a crossover between industrial and organic sounds, with a powerful atmosphere.

Islyz is a graphic and type designer, as well as a calligrapher, who creates the album covers for Bardouin Music.
When it comes to music, she mainly draws inspiration from the UK scene, as seen in her recent releases on Tsunami Recordings, Blue Night Jungle, Le Ciel, and Reptilian Business Records. Her sets offer a diverse mix of post-club and deconstructed music, catchy breaks, and laid-back rhythms, as well as introspective tunes with darker and more industrial sounds.

For his second EP, R.2614 continues to deepen his universe with 4 tracks complemented by 2 remixes by Bias and STUPR.

The first track, 'Illusion', plunges us into a dark atmosphere, depicted by a heavy, EBM-influenced rhythm section, aggressive acid synths and ghostly, authoritative vocals. 'Élévation' then comes with a higher tempo as well as a lighter atmosphere: gravity diminishes and we're lifted by the pads and sci-fi synths of this resolutely techno DJ tool. The ascent continues with 'Destination', a track with a steady rhythm and a soaring aura, ideal for filling the dancefloor with love and tenderness. Finally, 'Prédiction' takes us back into an obscure climate, consolidated by a heady bass and distant nightmarish wails, with a mysterious and disturbing prophetic voice.

The first remix, by Bias, offers us a revisited version of 'Élévation', which is marked by lush sound design and a complex rhythmic pattern. To close the EP, STUPR offers us a remix of the same track tinged with UK techno influences, with a consistent breakbeat and rolling bassline.

STUPR - Shamanic Polyriddims (Mix Août 2020)

Heuristique II is the second Various Artists compilation by 909 Connection. Made of 8 original tracks from crew members and friends from Toulouse, France, this compilation combines the unique style of each artists into an ever-evolving journey.

Starting with a deep and futuristic dancehall track by FIDY, things get softer with How U Feel by Naconda, a mellow House tune in remembrance of our past summer. With a shamanic Downtempo anthem, STUPR and his guitar set the mood nicely to prepare the listeners for a trip on the Dark Side of the Moon, inside Soyouz's spaceship. The highest point is then reached, as riddims get broken in I Know You Love Me, a melancholic tune by ESBA, in which his acid signature sound is easily recognisable. All of the sudden, Isolated Material introduces a brutal mood change, with Overload, an acid roller topped with broken rhythms. Made in the midst of the lockdown, Jour 7 by R.2614, is an exploration into the abyss of acid sounding Techno, putting the listeners back into a weird and dark state of mind. To wrap up this compilation, Phonom delivers Dustwave, a lovely breakbeat tune, offering serenity and hope for an unpredictable future...
