Møzakia broke in the door for us at No Bad Days with our first release, and we couldn't be happier for him to also kickstart our sister label - No Bad Edits. The name has changed, but the ear for colourful and supremely dreamy tunes hasn't. As you'll see that No Bad Edits won't be your usual re-edit label, so too are these impressive tunes not standard cut 'n paste extensions.

Using motifs from a long-forgotten 80s New Age cassette, Møzakia shoots for a mellow paradise with three cuts that variously evoke Finis Africae's 4th world exotica, contemporary house jams, and even the Rainbow Road level on Mario Kart 64. Long may the love-in continue!

Coming fresh off the limited 7” re-release of the unsung 1999 deep garage classic “Tomorrow People” which featured the first official recordings of Grammy nominated vocalist Gregory Porter, Teflon Dons return with the first new EP on their Worldship Music imprint in 18 years. Notably, this is also the first solo-produced release from Aaron Paar under the Teflon Dons guise since the “Planet Eater” EP in 1995. After a variety of reissues on Jay Simon’s Must Have Records and Jeremy Underground’s M.L.I.U., renewed interest in their material led Aaron to put the finishing touches on these SP1200 produced tracks originally written from 1995-1997. With a title inspired by the Burrell Brothers’ legendary NY Housin’ Authority collaboration, each track represents an homage to a housing project in the greater Los Angeles area. As rugged, moody, no-nonsense deep house music from one of the genre’s unsung veterans, the “LA Housin’ Authority” EP is not only the start of a new chapter in the Worldship Music saga, but a fully realized return to form for the inimitable Teflon Dons sound.

Gene Tellem launches her own label Bienvenue Records, welcoming you to a world of sounds for all the extroverted introverts out there. With headquarters at La Rama in Montreal, the new label plans on assisting your journey through local & international sounds.

For this first EP, Gene lays down the foundation for what is to come. Journey agent tracks for all looking to experience the music, an extended groove, more than just a drop & repeat. ‘Groove PM’ sets the scene, we play in the sun during the day and at night we smooth out the rigid edges of the hustle. ’N’ You’ is here to get you in touch with your natural swing, ride on the simplicity of moderate changes and witness just how much we have. ‘Tender As A Rhodes’ is an ode to that thing that changed it all, the universal jazz sound, dub it out, stretch it out, and watch the whole room come together. A lost Japanese house classsic! EP of tracks is taken from the rare Kino-Moderno album originally released in 1990 (tracks from this were used for the video game "Video Drug 2"). It's a cool collection of sounds that are reminiscent of Dan Curtin, Soichi Terada or Harumi Hosono's "Super Xevious" proto techno bomb. Features remix work (recorded in 93) from British soulful house DJ Frankie Valentine who had a record on Chez Damier's Balance records. As a bonus this set includes an unreleased version of Into The Future.

In the final curation of 2020 we raise a glass to Takis Shelter with a diverse collection of jams showcasing everything from blissed out jazz, funked up house, rich balearic trips and a little sprinkle of joy inducing disco. These come from a selection of our good friends across the planet who have kindly contributed their tracks to make this release happen, a big thanks to the time and effort that everybody has put into this.

100% of the proceeds from this compilation will go directly to Takis Shelter. As someone who has his roots in the music scene, Takis turned his attention from partying all night whilst running his own nightclub, to well, partying all night with more than 450 of dogs and cats that he saved from landfills and rubbish dumps in Crete. After giving up everything he owned to open his shelter, he nearly had to give up the refuge but donations made it possible for him to go on.

This compilation is a nod to all the incredible, selfless work that Takis has put into caring for these animals and will go towards ensuring they are looked after, fed and can eventually find their way to a new loving home. To find out more and donate directly go to takisshelter.org/
