The Tattooed Lady had a secret life found only in her dreams; she is much younger, has a family and a lovely home.  She is not the center of attention being stared at, hearing the stunned gasps of onlookers, a carnival side show on the move from town to another.  She sleeps sweetly and dreams deeply.
A very special thank you to Elmer Stone for letting me use a portion of his metal-inspired song "Tattooed Lady" which inspired my adding a dream sequence to his electric metal riffs.  A big thank you also to my dear friend Seagull for his sharing my vision of the song bringing Clara into the mix as the dreaming Lady, his final production touches, and his fantastic AI track art.

I wrote and revised this song based on a short story I wrote about a date gone horribly wrong.

“No! She can’t be here already!” He ran into his bedroom, slammed the door and fell on his plush, king-size bed. He started to breath heavy and then…then…he started to flap his arms in excitement—a very rare type of involuntary movement. “Quack! Quack!”

Frank loved Chara
And Chara loved Frank
But when the doorbell rang,
Frank’s heart sank
His poor heart sank.
And he ran upstairs
And started to quack.

Chara was coming
Chara was coming for dinner
And she was thirty minutes early
And he hadn’t cooked one dish
Much less two.
And he couldn’t stop flapping his arms
This was not the start of best date for two.

Frank loved Chara,

And she knocked on the door
Waiting for Frank to open.

But Frank was upstairs,
Locked in his room
Flapping his arms
Frank had quacked up
This was not Frank’s day.
But Chara she just stayed.

Chara was coming
Chara was coming for dinner
And Frank was flapping his arms upstairs
And there was not much they could do
Except have the worst start of a date for two.
