rien n'est parfait

On invite le collectif le plus disco et déjantée de la capitale parisienne le 2 septembre aux buttes chaumont et en guise de préchauffe, ils nous ont concocté un mix qui shake bien comme il faut.

Présentation du crew : 
@Discozoo est une asso généreuse et gourmande, qui mêle cerveaux d’éléphants imaginateurs d’événements et Djs animaux prêts à enflammer le dancefloor. Une bonne partie du collectif a passé des heures dans des squats ou lieux alternatifs. En est resté un bon goût pour la liberté et une envie de chercher des lieux non-conventionnels pour faire la teuf, où les contraintes sont minimes. En deux ans d’existence, le collectif a monté des soirées dans un Kebab à Strasbourg-Saint Denis ou encore des fêtes d’extérieur, le long de la petite ceinture et dans des bois parisiens.
Niveau son, chacun se complète. Les sets sont axés « happy music » de manière générale, sans frontière musicale. Discozoo varie entre b2b infinis et sets solos, du funk à la UK, du R’n’B à la House. L’idée est de casser les genres et d’apporter un peu de débilité dans tout ce jeu (en témoigne la DA visuelle sur les événements !)Collectif à suivre de près. Stay tuned les discopains !

Nisantashi Primary School are Vlad, Lucy and Mykhaylo from Kiev. This electronic-pop trio embraces weird sounds and holds omnivorous but clearly discerning appetites for mixing disco, funk and dub grooves. Their debut EP is a mix of snappy and moody synth sounds, vintage-tinged bass lines and gritty rhythms.

The selection of tracks is a showcase of moods and influences: from the feverish and psychedelic "Mr. Fingers" with Fumaça Preta's Alex Figueira on drums, to the nocturnal dancefloor gem “Hills”. Hints of dance records from 80’s NYC, synth-based disco and krautrock come through, but an eastern european immediacy and faux-débutant approach brings its own flavor to the table.

While dance music from Kiev might seem surprising, what do we really know about this city's energy? From the place where so many things are happening these days, maybe it’s time to see something else unfold.
