One cold day this November, these lyrics spilled from my heart and I couldn't stop writing. Breakups suck but as time goes on you heal, reflect, and are able to look back and understand the reality of the situation. Also, figuring out how to create closure when your situation never had it is difficult and makes you realize breakups aren't linear, and that you simply can't just extract memories of what was from your mind. All situations are different but you must remember that forgiveness isn't for the other person, its for yourself, forgiveness is to pull the thorn out of your own heart and create peace for yourself. I wrote this song not because I'm sad or heartbroken but because I AM able to work with my angels and demons to pull this energy out of me and make it into art.
