DO SHOCK BOOZE, who presides over TOTEM TRAXX, has released the fifth compilation EP of the same name, “MEiYOU 05 liberty” with the conceptual label party series “MEiYOU” held mainly at nightclubs in Tokyo from the same label.
With respect for the musical styles of the artists included in the compilation, the EP is a compilation of a wide range of songs that are not limited by BPM or the field of activity of each artist. The theme of each album is set, and this album, with its transcending national borders, elite few songs, irregularity, and free-spiritedness, has a rich content suitable for the final release in 2024, the year of the dragon's zodiac sign.
The journey to find new energy in the supernatural sound world that transcends the boundaries of all living things continues.

TOTEM TRAXXを主宰するDO SHOCK BOOZEが東京のナイトクラブを中心に開催しているコンセプチュアル・レーベルパーティーシリーズ「MEiYOU」と同名のコンピレーションEP、第5弾「MEiYOU 05 liberty - COMPILED BY DO SHOCK BOOZE」を同レーベルから発表。
収録アーティストの音楽スタイルに対するリスペクトに軸を持ち、BPMやそれぞれの活動フィールドに捕われない幅広いタイプの楽曲をコンパイル。アルバム毎にテーマを設定し、国境を越え、少数曲精鋭、不定期で自由奔放な今作は、ドラゴンの干支である2024年のファイナルリリースに相応しい濃厚な内容となっている。生きとし生けるもの全ての境界を超えた超自然的音世界に新エネルギーを見出す旅は続く。

"We’re stoked to share Inner Surface: a collection of our favorite tracks that have sparked deep reactions on systems. Mostly rooted in our love for psychedelia, textured grooves, and that strange sense of hazy clarity, this EP draws from the subconscious forces that shape us such as ego, illusion, and desire: the tension between what lies within and what shows up on the surface.

These inner forces can loop in on themselves, like thought spirals you can dance to.
That idea guided this approach to both sound and structure.

We drew from a wide spectrum of psychedelic music, bass, techno and IDM - the sounds that have shaped our perspective and challenged our sense of form.

This project leans deep into the low end but pulls textures and feelings from all directions. A reflection of sound as sensation, instinct, and pattern.

We’re glad to put this out there and hope it finds you in the right headspace."
