HAHAHAHAHA! is written for haters sitting at home being angry about all of the successes in the world because "WE GOT THAT THING YOU WANT IT! YOU'D GO THROUGH HELL TO FIND IT! WE GOT THAT THING YOU WANT IT! HA HA HA HA HA!"

So we go out dancing, and enjoy ourselves and stay above the hate! 

I wrote the lyrics for this song, as the initial music was written by Zach Rogue of Rogue Wave at Mirror to Wall Studios in Los Angeles. We both have music being produced by "The Guest and The Host" and I fell in love with the music he was getting rid of, and was given the green light to write lyrics to it, and developed the song!

We lay it all on the altar before the Gods of music in our top track! Which, ironically, I wrote just two days before we record our album. This song bled out of me, I felt it in my soul, and it just needed to come out. 

We honor "The Gods of Music" and all of our influences that really got us through it and helped us to come up with folk-hip-pop and we pay tribute to them in verse 3; Rage Against the Machine, Tom Petty, Eminem, Janis Joplin, Nirvana, Alanis Morissette, Red Hot Chili Peppers, NWA, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Dave Matthews Band, Sublime... who else made our list? Mama Fancy wrote this one about growing up as a child of the desert in Victorville, Ca! Growing up the daughter of a LA Firefighter that ran prison crews, she spent weekends at river casinos, swap meets, and riding her bike in the desert. 

This one is an innocent fun one!

This song is about Man Love.... seeing another dude from across the bar and knowing that he'd be the kind of guy that you'd want to hang out with, smoke pot with, and maybe let some asshole have it in a Walmart parking lot with. 

As men, it's hard to look at another guy and get a relationship started because we always have to worry about being masculine! What if we could say "This might be man love... I've got a man crush on you..."? 

I'll tell you what would happen; we'd get rid of our damn wives a lot sooner and have more "Man Love Thursdays".

Looking to mystics, gazing at stars, giving up on being The Good Guy. Feeling disgusted by business and living with false faces for the sake of business while denying the man that is inside of you. The wolf. The savage. 

Everyone expects men to be inhuman. Above feelings. Yet we have this rage inside of us, that we inherited from our fathers. This song is about working to extinguish that stain at all costs. 

Lord knows, I've tried to be The Good Guy.

"Looking for Jesus" takes on the religious institution and hypocrisy that "sells salvation" to people desperately needing it, while shaming them and keeping them coming back. 

It is a religious commentary about the true nature of Jesus and Moses. They were barbarians and savages. They lived outside the confines of the church and detested bureaucrats. 

So many of us feel like we are looking for Jesus in vain...

"How could we know that the roads we were going own led here?" We chronicle a young marriage; full of promise towards a tragic divorce, and a rebuilding of self from the ground up.

Peacocking is The Boot Band's funky-approach to bullying! Wear whatever the hell you want, dress how you want, do what you want. Think of it as a anthem for Libertarianism... 

This is a social commentary about how jacked up our society has become. We march in line, and send our kids off to school and have no idea whether they are going to come home. 

But we're all so entertained and we look so cool!

Harmonica driven "Lean On Me, Private Benjamin Blue" was written as an incredibly personal song that I almost didn't play for my band. It is rising about rising above the suicide epidemic with connection. Owning that you may have not been there in the past, and saying "if you ever have problem, or just need a friend to call on, I'll always be there". 

We don't want to say "Til Valhalla" anymore. It is time we stop losing our friends.

The title "Lean On Me, Private Benjamin Blue" comes from Bubba in Forrest Gump telling Forrest to "lean on me, and I'll lean right back on you so we don't have to sleep with our heads in the mud". 

We can always lean on each other. No matter the rain. The weather. It's just part of being a vet. The strong silent type has dug far too many graves. Shatter the mold.

"Bones & Words" was written about building a false-life and then shattering it and bringing about a reckoning in your own life. Taking ownership, and what we leave behind. We all love a good pop-song about suicide!

This track is an affront to the corruption in life, business, and politics.
