For the 25th edition we have invited the Russian DJ & Producer VIVAY. Needless to say she delivered us exactly what we where looking for! Hard sounds & violent rhythms.

VIVAY sets are filled with atmospheric dynamics of hard and industrial techno. She is a adherent of flying metal percussions and cyclical parts that can easily stuck in the head. VIVAY easily combines rushing rhythms with cinematic sounds.
She has an unbridled energy that hits the dance floor and make people obey her rhythms.

A talented girl with the industrial soul of the ferrous metallurgy industry of the southern Urals where she was born, combined to the refined romance of St. Petersburg's aesthetic beauty. 

Such a different and united whole as hard techno is by itself. Delivering punctual blows of an unrestrained feed, she instantly conquered the local stage, and is determined to conquer the world.

EXIX is a Germany-based techno producer/DJ raised in Istanbul. In his short production career, he already made a lot of noise in the scene with some banging tunes, and has been getting more and more support from established artists. As a DJ, he is a fan of conserving momentum and aggression throughout the mix and dropping constantly groovy elements on top of a concrete basis. In this mix, he is providing one more time an uplifting techno journey for those who love to be hit hard  - enjoy !

MASS Sessions #263 | HAFS

HAFS (standing for Hate At First Sight) is the name of the last techno project of Maël Capilla Sanchez from Brussels, Belgium. He grew up playing acoustic jazz and classical music and slowly decided to move towards techno deejaying in 2017.

His sets are made of a strange blend: harsh, rhythmic, melodic, full of drums, passion, and a dark undertone. The styles explored are mainly rave and industrial. In general, HAFS always aims to look far beyond his style with music while exceeding the standards.

We can say HAFS’ Techno style is influenced by producers like Brecc, Electrorites, Gijensu, Ryuji Takeuchi, WarinD & Endlec. The idea behind his project is to make sets that sound longer than they actually are with hypnotic melodic effects and harmonies.

The DJ was invited to various big events like LaMonarch Paris, in bars like the famous Berlin-inspired Liebe on Montmartre (Paris), and the Barrio cafe in Brussels.

He has collaborated with event crews like Optimal Bass (Belgium), Distorsion events, part of Chill2chill (Belgium) and Hard Kapital (Colombia). HAFS has travelled to Russia in December 2022 to play in Moscow for Monasterio.

In addition to that, HAFS has already taken over various techno podcast shows like Monasterio Chamber Podcasts, Techno Cartel, earlier in 2020: Shifted Radio (podcast channel of the Flesh and Hammers label) based in Los Angeles US, Beastmode Kollektiv (Frankfurt), Voltkick (emergent Belgian techno crew) and Tracks Insanas in 2021 (techno label based in Goiânias, Brazil) among others …

HAFS is the son of the Mexican versatile & experimented artist Candido Capilla. In parallel with his techno activities, Maël and his father run a Latin folkloric music band show with the collab of other artists. 

Finally, fresh mixes, international surprising tour dates, crew collabs, event hosting and maybe (why not?) his first track release is what you can expect from him.

Ziviler Ungehorsam is a half German/half Czech artist who is living near Bielefeld, Germany.
He got in touch with techno music, especially the harder subgenres of it 7 years ago and in this process he also learned the values which the techno community imparts and these made him politically aware.
Now at the age of 24 after collecting many different rave experiences in different countries, he found his own understanding of techno which is very underground, has no borders and comes with a fuck commercialisation/capitalism mentality.

Vendex has found his way, the path of Techno, with a philosophy that envelops him in a cloak of darkness. 
Influenced by the literature of Dante Alighieri in his work the Divine Comedy, as well as everything related to history, Vendex comes with the intention of creating a path to an inner journey wrapped in dark melodies, blunt and sharp bass that defy the natural , reaching supernatural sounds that touch or even reach what would be the sound of the underworld. Generating sounds that guide the Dantesque idea of ​​a trip in the underworld with the aim of reaching paradise. All this through a forceful and enveloping sound, this creating a path to the nine levels of hell, purgatory and finally reaching paradise. 

Influenced today in his sessions by artists such as Dax J, Parallx, I Hate Models, Scalameriya, Ancient Methods, Tommy Four Seven or Setaoc Mass and many more.
