For our 43rd release, we're excited to introduce - Bachir Salloum for his debut appearance on Juicebox Music. Based in Dubai (UAE) since 2014, the Lebanese-born artist gathered immediate attention with solo signings on Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank', Hernan Cattaneo's 'Sudbeat' and memorable collaborations with fellow comrades - Z0ne+ and Memory (ARG). Bachir's musical diversity landed him a slot at the famed first edition of Guy J's 'We Are Lost' Festival back in 2018. With a style that ranges from Deep House to Progressive House, he hones in on his love of grooves and melodies and with that motto in mind, Bachir Salloum delivers a 2-tracker on our Indian label. With no time to waste, the title track "Of Time and Space" launches the EP in full swing through it's dark, rolling drive aimed for the peak-hours while "Illusions" reflects his quirky and hypnotic after-hours side.

Another artist making his debut appearance on the label is Villa Mercedes (Argentina) resident - Fabri Lopez. With recent releases on Tash's 'Movement Recordings', Max Freegrant's 'Freegrant Music' and Juan Pablo Torres' 'Clubsonica', Fabri Lopez's aims straight for the progressive house fanatics with a sound that ranges from the smooth and euphoric to aggressive and epic. We called him in to give Bachir Salloum's 'Of Time and Space' the latter treatment with a beefier low-end and a big chord-filled breakdown moment.

Bangalore (India) based artist - Weird Sounding Dude makes his much-awaited return to Juicebox Music after his massive 5-track 'Arcade' EP. Nearly a decade of productions under his belt and on a constant rising trajectory, Weird Sounding Dude cemented his presence in the industry with exemplary original releases, highlighted by signings on Nick Warren's 'Soundgarden' and Hernan Cattaneo's 'Sudbeat', as well as highly praised remixes for Dmitry Molosh and Ziger. For his remix of Bachir Salloum's "Of Time and Space", Weird Sounding Dude effortlessly twists the original elements while injecting his trademark components - smooth percussive work, spacey synths and bouncy grooves.

'Argentinian producer Ric Niels makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his beautiful track 'Walking In The Woods'. The song is a mix of ethereal synths, groovy bassline and tasty drums. The glorious vocals of Hydrah add a sumptuous aura to the music.

First on remix duty, we found Dmitry Molosh. The Belarusian DJ and producer is famous for his inimitable progressive sound and excellent taste in music. Dmitry represents his country far beyond its borders as one of the most forward-thinking electronic music artists in the world. Here, he created a huge progressive piece filled with trancy melodies and one of the most epic drop we heard in a long time.

Also rising out of Argentina's electronic underground are the elusive duo Analog Jungs. Made up of Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs was born out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. The duo is back on the label after their successful release of 'Landscape' with Oliver & Tom last year.

To close out the package, there's an instrumental version of 'Walking In The Woods' for the DJs uneasy with vocals.

Hicky & Kalo say: 'Super happy to welcome Ric Niels on our label. We are fan of his music, we played many of his tracks over the last few years. Plaisirs Sonores Records announce the release of 'Gems, pt. 1', their first-ever VA featuring three talented artists from different parts of the world: Maezbi and Paul (AR), both from Argentina, and Savvas from Greece. Hot off the back of his All Day I Dream release, Roy Rosenfeld now joins Lost & Found with his 'Helena' EP. 

A name synonymous with exquisite melodies and piano chord progressions that entrance the listener, Roy Rosenfeld is a talent that needs little introduction. For him, music is a way of communicating emotion to multitudes with no words necessary, hence the attention and effort he pours into each release, mix and DJ set. 

Besides a long-running friendship with Guy J and his label's family members, this EP sees him officially join the Lost & Found roster, marking yet another exciting development in the Israeli producer's career. 'Helena' joins a back catalogue of releases on revered labels such as Kompakt, All Day I Dream and Systematic. 

The title track combines a steady, stealthy beat with bongo rhythms and flute-like riffs, overlaid with uplifting, melodious synth chords. Things go a little deeper n 'Gran Poema', mingling growling synth beats with emotive piano and wind chimes against a loose, slapping rhythm like rain on water, further echoed by plucked strings and swooping notes in the breakdown. The EP rounds off with 'Love From Afar', an other-worldly soundscape of muted hi hats and brushes, with fragments of mysterious static and questioning plangent synths punctuating a complex drum riff.

This three-tracker is an apt soundtrack for the daytime festivals and balmy Ibiza nights that are finally just around the corner.

Label owners Supernova team up with Uruguayan artist Javier Cardellino to bring on the table a fresh as well as deep and groovy percussion house version of the original theme from the famous TV series Narcos.

Release Info: 
With their first collaborative project Artfaq and Ezequiel Arias land on Cid Inc’s Replug Records with ‘Babel’. Hailing from Cordoba, Nacho Ferroni and Nacho Varela make up the Artfaq production team. The Argentinean duo have found favour amongst progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while finding a home on Antrim’s rapidly rising Or Two Strangers imprint. Similarly, upon making his debut in 2013, Cordoba resident Ezequiel Arias quickly became a favourite of the two storied DJs as well, eventually leading to releases on Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank Records, Sudbeat Music and Suara. Also a member of the Replug artist roster, Ezequiel made his label debut in November of 2017 with a contribution to the ‘Defined 01’ collection. Now making a welcome return to the Finnish imprint, Ezequiel pairs with label debutants Artfaq for a highly anticipated EP. 

Comprised of two tracks it’s the title piece ‘Babel’ which leads the release off.  Putting your emotional centres on high, a bed of warm beats and hip swinging rhythms set the stage for a full, driving groove. Redolent effects add an astral charm as the first act unfolds, while fragmented melodies are gently teased as the main break commences. Coming to full realization yet tastefully indistinct, it’s a musical narrative for the astute connoisseur, delivering a profound emotional message before smoothly transitioning into a groovy finale. 

Rounding out the EP is the equally stunning ‘Polaroid’. In crafting a smooth rolling groove, the Argentinean trio have fashioned a strong foundation, complemented with hypnotic pulses and percussive drive. Charming in design and emotive in delivery, harmonic phrases slowly engulf the framework, carrying the piece into joyous second act. As the bassline melts down, melodic motifs converge, opening up for moments of exuberant warmth and hopeful reflection, before a pulsating final act unites rhythm and groove for devastating dance floor dynamics.  It caps off a hugely successful collaborative project from three of Argentina’s most highly touted artists. A meeting of music minds where the end result further cements Replug’s ethos of delivering unique and exciting projects.
