(Lofi Hip Hop) The Cook Of My Ship [Prod. by 98 'til fibrahdo]

Presenting my song produced by me - "The Cook of My Ship", a new lofi-ish hip hop track.
This track was made over different time periods. I started the first 40–50% on May 25th but then took a break from producing because of my thesis. Some days I’d work for 30 minutes, but I only finished the song in the last few days.
The original idea was to make a video inspired by Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, but the song ended up going in a different direction. Still, I wanted a pirate-type song. That’s when I remembered a character I love from One Piece, Sanji. Pre-timeskip Sanji was the best - definitely an underrated character. Realize something, this is the guy who has to “fight” Luffy every day so the fridge doesn’t go empty. That's hardcore training right there. So I made this track as a tribute to him. I found a great video on YouTube showing some of Sanji’s first appearances in One Piece, and I used that for the ending. This track features strings, drums, bass, harp, synths, and a seaport ambient sound. Lately, I’ve been watching Kenny Beats’ series The Cave and his Red Bull Remix Lab with T-Pain, great cook-up, by the way. In almost every beat, Kenny adds ambient sounds to give a more “nostalgic” feel. He’s a big fan of seagull sounds too, so I borrowed that idea and it fit perfectly in this song. Thank you, Kenny Beats.
This track has a lot of mixing work, especially on the synths and strings.
I had fun doing this track.
