A new signee to @infinite-machine, @bonebrokk’s 'The Astral Catalyst' EP marks his first official release for the Athens-based producer outside of his @trialanderrorsound imprint. Influenced by late capitalism and sci-fi dystopias, across two productions Bonebrokk deftly showcases his ‘ExoPunk’ sound; a retrofuturist mix of broken beats from the continuum blended with meticulous, future-facing sound design. 

Long-standing IM alumni @galtier as well as techno giant Surgeon round off the release with two blistering remixes of Bonebrokk’s originals. Galtier reworks 'Hyperparadox' by stripping back some of the layers of samples but ramping up the tension with the elements he leaves in the mix.

Wetware Echo presents Residual Image, a compilation aimed to collect different perspectives on a common theme: the hijacking, disassembly and recombination of sonic DNA. From woofer-shredding distorted soundscapes to hi-pressure rhythmic solutions, this collection of tracks represents the residual image of a common vision shared among thirteen different artists, each bringing their signature sound in a narrative continuum exploring different evolutionary branches. The 38th release of katharsis and our final release of 2023 is the prodigious compilation "Embracing Darkness, Absorbing Light" featuring a vast array of artist beloved by the label. Throughout the grandiose line-up of the 36 tracks, the listener is absorbed by various differing interpretations of the theme outlined in the title of the album. Some of the invited artist went full into introverted progressions and meditative sounds, while others focused on aggressive rhythms or anthemic melodies. But even though the styles and techniques of the songs differ from each other, the artists seem to have some commonality in their sonic palettes that binds it all together in a mutual love for music as a healing force of nature <3
