In the words of the artist “It’s more about the self I suppose, Myself specifically, the artist. 
Everything has a history, from these conventions emerge. These histories are foundation and prison. 
I want to make something like industrial music, drum machines and bass lines, something somewhat, “conventional” I suppose. It doesn’t exactly fit though. I want to make something like rhythmic noise, but that doesn’t quite fit either. I want to challenge our history, to break free from it.

In this release, Discos Hechizos presents the first album of their very own Marea. 
Marea flows to delivers 7 sound spells immersing the listener in a mesmerizing mystery trip where the tropical rhythms and the broken percussions play along with eastern hypnotic melodies and strong basslines showing her most deep and mystical side. Simple yet profound tunes made with joy to enjoy at any given time.
All tracks written and produced by María Arango, in  Medellín, between 2022-2023.
