Den Künstler für die 119 hab ich schon seit langem ins Auge gefasst für meine Reihe. Doch bisher hatte es sich immer nicht so richtig ergeben. Nun sind wir uns schon öfters über den Weg gelaufen und er hat auch bei unserer letzten Afterhour Sounds VA im Beate Uwe ein wunderbares Set für uns gespielt. Irgendwann dort haben wir es dann auch geschafft mal einen Termin zu fixieren.

Die Rede ist von Dahu … von dessen Sound ich ein sehr großer Fan bin. Sowohl seine grandiosen und eigenwillige Produktion als auch sein Wirken als DJ haben immer diese Tendenz zum Perfektionismus … die auch immer wieder meine Antriebsfeder ist. Haha auch wenn einem diese hin und wieder ganz schön im Weg stehen kann.

Dieses Set bedeutet mir tatsächlich sehr sehr viel … da es meine Musikgeschmack wie ganz wenige wiederspiegeln. Diese fantastische Mischung aus Melodien, Druck, Düsterheit und Verspieltheit bringt es einfach genau auf den Punkt. Und trotz der Melancholie ist es doch auch wieder positiv.  

Philipp es ist mir eine ganz große Freude und Ehre dich in meiner Reihe mit diesem für mich ganz besonderem Set zu wissen. Und nun liebe Hörer bin ich mal gespannt wie es euch gefällt … Musik ist ja auch immer eine Geschmack Sache.

I use rolling base lines as the backbone of my stories. 
The characters are formed using off beat hats and hard hitting drops. 
The beauty of my sound can be found in the spaces between each crescendo. 

Born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa, my music career took off when I moved to the artistic city of Cape Town in 2013. 
I am a Deep House and Techno DJ, inspired by old school rock, metal from the 2000's, and Electronic music from the 2010's. 
My sound is shaped by deep rolling bass lines, off beat high hats and provocative vocals. 
My future? 
Live production using a bass guitar, a synth, a loop machine, a beat pad and singing my own vocals. 

My greatest influences have come from artists like Claptone, Victor Ruiz and joining The SPIRIT Train Crew at AfrikaBurn.

Jeff Sledge Morrell -Ode to the burn that wasn't Homeburn 2020 - Staying alive

MAXJA 2020 was a Magic Reality in the middle of a Discipline Chaos. By far this year was the most challenging edition, yet the most heartwarming one. 

Resilience, Unity, Love were echoed around the whole Festival and Magic harmonically resonated with it. Also Mother Nature was very clear on her message and ceremoniously baptized MAXJA as a truthful and genuine Holistic Festival. Deeply Grateful for this magic experience and for everybody involved on it.  

Here you have the closing Set we played with my partner in crime @milko-moustache, it is a very decent summary of the days we spent together,  we hope it Reasonates!!
