Throughout this year I have been so impressed by your tenacity and grit. You responded to challenges with heart and crafted a life for yourself where you can flourish. For this year’s edition of your birthday mix, I wanted to make something that modeled your courageousness and the love that surrounds you. What I ended up with is introspective and highkey cathartic. It digs deep and then explodes outwards. It reminds me of the times we’ve spent this summer outside looking at the sky go from light blue to orange/red/deep blue/purple at sunset. And the times on the dancefloor where we slowly got more and more in sync. And the excitement we’ve had before eating Caribbean food and the overly full tummy we’ve had after eating.
