It was not a usual festival for us! Not only did we have a missing keyboard when arriving at Budapest airport or a taxi accidents on the first day, we also experienced what it is to walk over 20km on one of the biggest festivals of Europe. Luckily everything fell into place when Raphaël‘s synth was picked up the next day so we could perform! It was a joy seeing again our french friends from Chateau perche festival dancing on our music by the beach! Sziget was such an interesting and learning experience, we feel lucky to be even a small part of it!

As a half Portuguese duo, we wanted since long to create something inspired by Portugal. Sintra is a wonderful city where Raphaël spent time. This town had a big time of occupation by the Maures (North African civilisation).
On that fact, the city shows a beautiful architectural mixity between Portugal and North Africa that we wanted to talk about in our way.

South of the United States?A man participates in a Amerindian Invocation ceremony.

Without understanding what is happening to him or why,
The sound of unknown percussion pierces his eyes.
He loses the notion of reality little by little,
He, now answering only in the name of the devil.
Burns under serious and heavy sounds such a storm. 
The ashes fly away, the wind finishes him as a freeform. 

The man wakes up, in the shadow of his horse 
He regains his senses, it was a dream of course
Continuing his travel, the conquest of the west, the great,
He gets back in saddle, without lose his fate.
When suddenly the heat cut his breath, 
His body memory hit him like the death.

No doubt, if the invocation was a dream,
He still did not wake up, deaf by the scream.
During this moment of lucidity his eyes finally opened
All becomes clear, he is a Tuareg in the middle of the desert
He screams of nostalgia thinking of this imagined land,
His mouth is so dry, for miles only sand.

After all, why survive, by now he knows that he will die
Then, he closed his eyes, returning to his world in the sky.

STORY: 
In this track we wanted to represent the sensation of euphoria we can feel sometimes. When our hands are shaking after drinking too much coffee, when we have the feeling we can lift tables and throw them. We made this track like children play in a room. In a way, this also reflects the turn in our creative process because we now compose first recording synths and acoustic drums. It’s a fresh beginning and it’s motivating! Hope you’ll enjoy 🌈.

This track is surely our personal favorite, last one was "Miracle d'Hwange" 3 years ago. 

Aitnema opens this record with its gliding melodies and psychedelic sounds. Acoustic drums meet electronic samples to create a hybrid and rousing beat. Mysterious tribal vocals dance around haunting synthesizers, intertwining the percussive layers intimately. It's time to dive into waves of synths 

STORY : 
Aitnema is the main track, after that the hero of the EP has discovered his new environment in the first track "Hiver", he now easily explores this new world in Aitnema! Freedom is the word !
He is full of joy, he thinks he has found his element, he learns from his environment and acts in accordance with it. Then came the "break".. Finally he realizes that by contemplating what surrounds him, he actually learns more about himself too, he realizes his smallness in this world. The individual alone is nothing but a snowflake on a mountain, as ephemeral as it is insignificant.

Finally during the second part of the song, it is the osmosis of his united discoveries that make him realize one thing :  it was by being free that he accepted to be a prisoner of his curiosity. This is how he sees happiness.
