Electronic Dream Foundation - Arise

A sublime mix of trip hop, chillout and electronica, Blue Hour plays like the last breath of winter, full of delicate crystalline percussion and deep bass lines. Let us give you a little bit of a taste of what's in store:

We start the EP off with 'Concave Mirrors', the perfect introduction. Written and produced by LeVirya, Concave Mirrors submerges the listener into a deep reverie with liquid beats and smooth melodies. We then fall straight into 'Time Stands Still', a track bursting with gorgeous strings, bewitching vocals and an addictive trip hop beat featuring production by Padma Purana and LeVirya with vocals by Elleodin. 

In the second half of the EP we reach the darker edges of the sky with 'Until I Find You', an experimental electronica track by Elleodin with a slow, constant build up, chaotic drums and haunting vocals. As the sun sets further, we conclude with the title track 'Blue Hour', a deep melancholy production by LeVirya. 'Blue Hour' is rich with gentle percussive textures which beautifully contrast with intense guitar lines. It perfectly captures that strange eerie atmosphere that comes with twilight.

And that concludes our little introduction of Blue Hour! We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!

Drchamploo has been composing for the past five years, during which time he has released four EPs: “Contemplations”; “Urban Waves” and “Groovebox” (Vols. 1 & 2) as well as composing for film, TV and video games. Aviary Bridge are thrilled that he’s now releasing his first solo EP with them, having already featured him on many of their compilation albums. His music fits nicely into the Lofi Hip Hop genre with lots of Jazz elements. 
“Burning Blossom” is a great chillout album where the smooth, jazzy vibes rest effortlessly amongst sultry sax sounds and groovy beats that are at the same time comforting, yet nostalgic. Drchamploo’s musician’s ear is also evident as the production standard is flawless.

Aviary Bridge Records’ offer up their sixth release in what can only be described as a unique approach to a compilation album! The 
contemplatively titled “colour” series EPs are an intuitive response to music, which evokes the sensation/feeling of a certain colour. Previous releases from this series have included Saffron and Indigo, for example. 

“Violet”, with its gentle introspective beats, is an atmospheric fusion of Ambient and Cinematic genres with world/ethnic overtones, featuring the talents of Archer, Behind Clouds, Sub Hero and Romulus. It takes you on a journey using downbeat, plus elements and instruments ultimately creating an almost meditative state. 

All in all, it’s emotional depth makes it a great choice for listening to on those long, hot summer days.
